STG's is no longer useable. Tryst has dynamited prices. I'm thinking of changing strategies and going old school. What are the best bars in Madtown for meeting 40 or 45 year olds or older? Curious minds would like to know.

Depends on the type of women you like. If you want more of the business type, the hotels on / near the square would be a good start. Some of the restaurants at Greenway might do the trick, since there's some nicer business hotels out there. If you want a more earthy 420-friendly Madison hippy chick, Harmony or Crystal Corner might be your speed.

One place that was absolutely easy to hook up was Honolulu. I was there for work for a couple months, and while locals tend not to want to meet up with "tourists" or "short timers", there are plenty of women there for various conferences, who are 5-6 time zones away from the hubs, so they're not going to get called during dinner. Kind of a WHIVSIV attitude except sub in Oahu.

No recent experience but I've had luck in hotel bars, the type that business travelers frequent. More and more women traveling for business and they get the same urges as male business travelers. I had a friend tell me she was 100% faithful to her husband except when she was out of town on business. Then she acted all offended when I asked when and where her next business trip was. Anyway, no specific suggestions but a well groomed man dressed nicely should find it possible to meet middle aged women who are quite well maintained. Happy hunting.

I'm glad you brought this up, I'd like to know the same. Much as I've grown to dislike hanging around bars, with Tryst girls asking close to a thousand and STG girls so vile that I wouldn't want to go near them with a hazmat suit, I may have to go back to finding horny, bored 40-something divorcees at the local bar. I've seldom gotten the best looking women doing this (I'm not the best looking or most charming man in the world), but they'd still be far better than what I see posting on STG. I haven't put much effort looking, but the few bars I've been to seem to either cater to a trendy, hip 20 or 30 something crowd, and those with an older crowd tend to have couples going out for drinks together rather than lonely singles looking for company (or even small talk). Neither would be good hunting ground for someone like me. If you find some promising locations and don't mind sharing, I'd appreciate it, especially if it's towards the east side of Madison.

I don't disagree. But one way to make it easier to see what's available is to use the ethnicity filter. I generally filter out Asian, as those ads are openly deceptive:

When you negotiate a menu with us, the only thing you can count on is that we'll take whatever money you bring and you will likely receive covered sex. Anything beyond that is the discretion of the girl you meet. Who we have no control over. LOL.

I also generally filter out AA. Personal taste.

There is an entire state northwest of us called Minnesota that is filled with Democrats. It's not legal there either. I'm not sure a lot of people are aware of this in Madison, but there is a "United States" around Madison.

Is it backwards because it is the opposite of what you want? How about start with toll booths in Wisconsin. Look at all the money that would bring in.

Backwards because it is the opposite of what the vast majority (69% according to most recent polls) of state residents want. And even what a small majority (51%) of Republican state residents want. It's also backwards in terms of being bad fiscal policy. Illinois generated nearly half a billion dollars in tax revenue from marijuana last fiscal year. If the prohibition isn't stopping Wisconsinites from smoking anyway, it should be a no brainer. So yes, backwards, and not because it's the opposite of what I want. Personally, I couldn't care less. I don't even use the stuff. I used to love it, but my brain chemistry changed and now it just makes me paranoid.

It's a weird phenomenon. The general pattern is for it to be legal in blue states and illegal in red states, but there are plenty of exceptions. Legal in Montana and Arizona. Even Mississippi and Missouri are like Minnesota, with medical marijuana legalized and possession in general decriminalized. There are only 6 other states besides Wisconsin where it's still completely illegal. Our legislature is extremely backwards on this issue. Sure, it's easy enough to find weed here and nobody is going to bother you for the most part. But it really irks me that we're losing all that tax revenue to Illinois and Michigan, where tons of Sconnies cross the border every day to score at a dispensary.
