I pull into the convenience store lot, back in and get out my car and act like I'm on the phone. From the distance she was at it still would have took her another 10 minutes to walk down right. So, boom, finally she comes around the corner and walking into the lot going into the store. I make eye contact and stare then ask her how she doing? She's like I'm alright but keeps walking. So I'm thinking ok I guess she not on that stuff. A few minutes later she comes out and goes, hey do you have a lighter? I tell her no but I can go in and get you one. She then hands me a wad of cash and some change and says new port 100's too. So the flags going up. Hell they won't sell you any cigarettes? So I tell her to wait there and I'll grab it. I got straight to the ATM. Figures let me get a little more green on me cause I'm about to shoot my shot. I buy the cigarettes and lighter and bring it back out. She thanks me and just starts walking slowing with me and say I got a little ways to walk. You know me now, so where you heading. She said the Haven on Memorial. I'm like damn, you walked all the way from there? She tells me its not a long walk and she took the shortcut. I offer to give her a ride back but she tells me she's heading to some apartments around the corner. Even better cause heading back to memorial is out of my way.

Unfortunately I was too young to experience Stewart Avenue back in the early and mid 90's but I had heard about it LOL. I remember them always talking about Club Nikki and Chocolate City on Stewart Avenue back then. They said that street was a gold mine for SW and drugs and anything else you wanted it was Atlanta Red Light District for sure. I hate I was too young back in those days to experience Stewart Avenue but man I bet it was a blast for mongers.

They had all kind of shady hotels on Stewart Avenue back then I remember some guys got killed in one of them before they change the name to Metropolitan Pkwy.

I was born in 92 so none of this was even available to me until after I was really out of the military in 2017.

It was back in the day when a trip to Atlanta from my Lawrenceville home was always a guaranteed success. Back then the SW's didn't tolerate pimps like they do these days. It was rare to see a pimp. There weren't any laws against cruising back then, so you could make all the circles and do all the shopping you wanted. And such a wide selection. I've seen 5-6 working girls standing on one corner. Midtown was also a hotspot back then. Juniper St was a goldmine.
