Would it make sense to start a thread of just the deceased, where we can discuss our good / bad memories?

That's a hike just to get high. The only thing I can guess is an underlying death wish. Most of the users aren't stupid simply foolish. You and I both know there are safer places to get drugs than here.
The issues facing the addicts are so compounded. Not really complicated. Just made complicated by the politicians. The girls want to get off the stuff yet the system and bureaucracy will not allow them to. All part of the creative accounting process put in place to make money for those that least need it.
The addicts need identification which by the time they decide they have had enough has long ago been stolen. The politicians know this.
They have difficulty with insurance coverage for the same reasons. Many simply give up trying and feel the best place for them is actually the worst place for them. The street. Because of these issues, we have tragedies like Bree, Angelica, Michelle, Nicole, and countless others being lost in a system they cannot get around.
Throw that in the same mix with the current district attorney and Mayor and these lives are basically worthless. By the way, there's a bill in the works to impeach Krasner in Harrisburg for dereliction of duty by allowing the city to escalate to the level it is currently in. Finally, a movement of action that's just to little to late. Even if the impeachment effort is successful he only has eighteen months left in the office anyway. Keep waving that flag.
So the girls continue to walk and die. The guns fire into the night. Many times into the daylight hours. Drug sales are increasing hand over fist. The houses burn and the bodies hit the tally sheets. Nobody does anything because this is the city of the blind. Appreciation of life and self-respect has all been flushed into the sewer of Kensington. Those that can correct it refuse. Just keep that paycheck coming.
I long for the old days when we could cruise the strip and the risk was fairly low. The biggest worry was getting pulled over with one of the girls in the car. Or if a girl would return or fly off with our cash. How minimal those issues now seem. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.

Hi, I will be driving from Cincinnati and getting to downtown Philly Sunday afternoon. Anyone a must see? I'll be there a few days but will have very limited availability other than Sunday evening.

Personally, I think the AMP scene is the best option.
One time I picked up a chick off the street. As we were going to the stomping grounds, we drove past another chick that was knocked out face down in the street on the road next to traffic. I ask the girl I picked up what we should do and she says we should help the second girl. We pull over and check on her and she is not responding. The first girl yells for help and asks if anyone has narcan while I try to get the second girl to wake up. Eventually, the second girl wakes up but starts flipping out. She was pissed about the possibility of being narcaned and accused me of being a cop or something.
Weird experience.

Posts: 908I carry narcan but luckily never had to use it. I'm not in the medical field so don't take my words for the gospel but narcan is for when someone has used an opiate and in 20 minutes or more they start to slip away as in their eyes are starting to roll in the back of their head, their lips are starting to turn blue and / or they're not breathing normal (death rattle maybe).
If you're in this situation administer the narcan and use your knuckles to massage right in the middle of the rib cage between a person's breast because it has an odd feeling that will help revive them. And yes, often people who are saved become angry and combative because you robbed them from their high. I would call 911 also to cover your ass.
That said, if you pick a woman up and she falls asleep as you're driving she's probably not overdosing. They're just heavily sedated due to the opiates and xylazine. It's a dam shame. It's very dangerous to be that out of it in strangers cars. I had girls tell me they nodded off in a dates car and woke up sore in areas that shouldn't be or had holes cut out in their clothes or in total different locations that they didn't know about.
Personally I don't like girls using around me to avoid the whole OD issue but once I was in a motel and a date I knew very well wanted to party. She hit twice and she was out on the floor for a total of 4 hours before she came to and took care of me. I just checked on her breathing every so often while I watched TV. Unfortunately as one of my favorites she's gone now. Been 2 years and she barely made it to 30 years of age.

Posts: 520I've heard some flip out when you crush their high with narcan. Any truth? Not that I've ever cruised around for a sw. bucket list item

Posts: 554I've been carrying Narcan for several years, and have had to use it once. But not on someone that was with me, a woman waiting for the trolley in West Philly. It's good to be prepared in the city, it could get you out of a jam, and having some to give away has worked to my advantage. AND it's free, so not really any reason to not have it in the truck.

General thoughts. Got to thinking that it's a good idea to clean out an inbox such that others might reply. Been guilty of that myself!
