The churches / Brother Pat have been around a long time and don't usually get involved in issues such as this. If they were, there would be no AMPs, for example. The "family friendly" marketing of the oceanfront has a little more to do with it specifically down there, but also the fact that in the summer hotels are expensive and it's harder for locals to get to in the summer with traffic, parking, etc. Even in winter, providers typically stay in the other hotel clusters throughout the area because they're cheaper and easier to get to.

Traveling providers often skip this area because we're far off the beaten path (I-95) and the area doesn't traditionally have a great reputation of delivering a lot of business. One might think with a lot of single military men things would be different, but no.

Right now though, I would say it's primarily a combination of COVID and the lack of a common advertising site at the moment since STG has turned mostly into spam and can't seem to get out of the hole it has dug into.
