Anyone know what the rates look like these days?

I can always bring her back to the MongerCave, but would be easier to hit downtown.

Also, if anyone is down to split a room? I would only need for a couple of hours.

I also posted about hotels, if anyone had previously tried to book a room in these times were going through. I'm just trying to get a room for an outcall from a woman, so I don't bring her home or go to hers on the SW side.

A line in the movie "citizen kane" is read by everett sloane in regard to the character played by orson welles (charles foster kane). In reading a letter from welles to everett he reads out loud "I think it would be fun to run a newspaper". Everytime I look at or hear uncle money (who is happily spending his parents fortune from hyatt. That includes his wacky sister and all her do go endevours) I think of that line. "I think it would be fun to run a state". Yep well said brothers of monger. Running what's left of it right into the ground! The good one upstairs blessed me when he told me to sell my property, retire and hope soon to be another person who looks at the state known as the "land of lincoln" to the "land of leavin". Politics! Show business for ugly people! Stosh with peace out!

I agree, but this one is playing with our money, not his own. Making a lot of mistakes and blaming everyone but himself. Will not tell us true costs and looks like looking for a bailout. Going to be very sad day for everyone responsible when this is over, can we survive.

You can find very cheap rates. Usually under $100 for very nice hotels all over the area. You can check in during the morning, then need to be out by 3-5 pm or so. Wish I'd had this years ago when I was meeting a co-worker for a lunch time tryst.

Yes, I agree and hope everyone remembers when it comes time to vote in the fall, especially on the flat tax referendum, pray it does not pass, already bad enough with all he has done in the little time he gas been in office.

Thanks for that link, 168 million is a lot, but there was the report from Pritzker about a lot more than that this past Wednesday. He is using all the debt incurred to get a federal bailout and get that flat tax of his passed this fall. Hope he gets the bailout, that flat tax can't pass, the ones left working will be overburdened with that tax.

Nah, missing a couple dates. WHO got suckered by China in Dec and early Jan. They confirmed human-to-human on Jan 22nd and declared a health emergency on Jan 30 (the one that led to Trump's ruling on China travel). They were pretty much on top of it as soon as they got clear data out of China.

The WHO came out against Trump's travel ban on China. They also ignored Taiwan's warnings cause China doesn't acknowledge Taiwan as a legit country. Since the WHO is a propaganda wing of China talking to Taiwan the is a no no. If you still have any doubts this clip will remove them.

Curious to see what the costs are in this state. Also, the statements of number people infected and passed, just that the number of recovering or just carriers is not reported. Just saying.

So sad and bad that the testing for the USA is about 10 weeks behind. I live in Hoffman Estates and the first Wuhan travel to USA case was reported here in January and our "officials" were aware of the issue before this. Search also shows Jan 20th report in Washington state. One of the very most important parts of fending this virus off is capacity to test. But hey economy first right! If this post is in the wrong place my apologies. Just frustrated being locked in and finally ventured out yesterday (both parties with face masks).

Deaths happen 10-14 days after symptoms, usually. So the reported deaths are those people that have had the virus for some time. Better indicator is the number of new cases.

Since the reported number of new cases is very dependent on how much testing as available, I think the best indicator is new COVID-19 hospitalizations or admissions to ICU per 100 K people. As far as when to get back into the game though that's a lot tougher to say since the virus is still out there even though the curve is flattening. It's another risk to throw into the equation.
