I usually call ahead when I visit an AMP, mainly to get an idea whether or not they are busy. I am not willing to wait very long for a massage. You're not wrong, but I went to an AMP late near closing in the Oakland / Berkley area (CA, duh) a few years back and they told me I could only have a half hour because the girl had an appointment booked. It ended up closer to 20 minutes.

This morning, I called Sakura, my regular AMP. There was no answer. I don't know what the story was, but it is rather out of my way, so I didn't want to drive there unless I was assured of a massage. Stopped in to Bliss by Kroger on Miami. I was looking for a massage first and extras as a bonus and really wanted to try somewhere new. Called ahead and showed up about 5 minutes early. Another client was finishing and had to wait about 5 minutes. As he wrapped up she put me in another room, so we never crossed paths, which was great. Appeared to be only one woman working there.
