My recommendation would be the Catalina on Washington. Been hanging out there for 20 yrs. And it's certainly not unusual for hookers to be there, though that's not always the case. Also, most of the female regulars that hang out there aren't hookers. I can tell the difference, but it might not be obvious to someone new. Been in Fort Wayne the last two years, just been back in Indy for a month. Haven't been back the Catalina yet, but I'm sure it hasn't changed much. It's a hit or miss affair as to whether you'll happen to find any local talent on a visit.

It was just a couple blocks west of the Catalina till it burned down. Was a definite hooker hangout. And you didn't even have to go inside. Quite often you'd find them hanging out on the sidewalk along the Oxford street side. On Friday and Saturday nights it wasn't unusual to find a half dozen or so just waiting to take care of your johnson. This was back before crack came on the scene. It was more common to find one that had been drinking and was able to give a good blow to get some $ to keep her buzz on.

Lately I've been longing for the good old days, when you could hang out in a hotel or restaurant bar, and there would be a number of "working girls" there from which to choose. There were inherent risks involved back then (LEO?) as I'm sure there would still be now, but my question is: are there places in our fair city where I could have a few cocktails and possibly approach (or be approached by) some local talent?

Yes that was one and there were two dive bars seperated by a bulding that had rooms to rent by the hour. Each place always had 4 or 5 girls.

Of course they check it out. As much as we like to poke fun at them, they are most definitely not stupid in where to watch. Use the same rules that you would use elsewhere.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe Kristen has left us. I saw a Facebook post that I strongly believe references her passing. I'm unsure of the circumstances surrounding her death. I will miss her though.
