Not really keen on coming back and finding out my car was broken into or stolen. Also some of the clientele of the bar seems sketchy. Would appreciate some advice and will post if I muster up courage to go. Thanks.

Just go down Mango street until you reach Kilani, turn right into Dottie's Resturant and park there. Its lighted and cops hang out there for coffee. Then walk down Mango Street to that strip bar. I think on the weekends the karaoke bar stays open late. Besides, if you park next to the strip bar, the cops know you've been drinking there and be caught DUI.

I was stopped by a cop after closing, but he was cool and let me off after seeing my military I'd and thought I was there for a few before going on deployment. But the other people he stopped they were given tickets.

After our monthly outing, my golf club usually goes to Wave in Kalihi or Camelot. Only problem is no girls in afternoon. Good house pupus but wanted fo scope young girls. Great memory Incogfilipino! Thanks, yes it was Sahara. Back then, the bars were still running ads in the sports section, especially everytime the bar name / ownership would change. I used to love those bar ads. That was how we found out about new places back then. Nevah have this USASG!

Club Pearl was the club on base that used to have dancing on the weekends. They closed at 2 AM.

There was another Club at the Marine Barracks that had strippers from about lunchtime. Guys used to go there and not come back to work. They used to drink to midnight then sleep in their car until morning, and go to work.
You could tell who the alkys were, because they just plain stank.
Marine Barracks Club closed down because, the wives complained that their husbands wern't coming home.

So I recall my older friend who mentioned that he used to work for the shipyard on base and there used to be a bar / club somewhere on base that workers would go to after work and then go to work from there the next day. Any old timers here that can confirm that? Those must've been the days.
