Aside from the risk of getting yourself into a "Fatal Attraction" or blackmail scenario, you also have to think about who your profile is going to attract. I can mostly only play in the daytime, and that is hard to explain if you aren't married. Lots of girls on SA want to go on regular dates. If you are married and can go out that in the evening, great, maybe you can conceal your status from them. But if you can't and you try to act like you aren't married, you are just going to waste a lot of time.

There are some girls, although a minority, on SA that actually prefer married men because they know you will keep the arrangement limited and not turn into a "real boyfriend" on them. Putting married in your profile helps you connect with those women.

Sorry you lost your marriage man. Sucks. I am also married and tearing it up on SA. This leads to another question. Do you guys lie and tell these women you aren't married? I am very upfront about it. I get plenty of responses from chicks on the site that reject my overtures after reading my profile because I am straight up about being hitched.
I have read some posts here where mongers say don't put married in your SA profile and in my opinion that is cruising for a bruising. Sure it opens you up to more poon tang but if they discover the lie there could be hell to pay. I also don't sell these women dreams and keep things on a per meet basis. I don't think I have ever advanced money for one these chicks crisis situations in between meets. Once again this isn't about blame and I appreciate you having the courage to tell the board you got rinsed for $7 k and putting the skank on blast.

I never, ever, ever give my last name to a SB no matter how long I've seen her or how well it seems to be going. If they need more verification to screen me, I move on. I've missed out on many smoking hot sugar babies with this approach, but I'm not willing to take the risk for so long as I have minor children at home. I bumped into a SB at Home Depot one time back when I lived in a different area of Metro Atlanta. She gave a knowing look but said nothing, thank goodness. One of my kids was with me, which probably caused her to pause, or maybe she was just cool. In any event, I learned my lesson and now I don't monger in the area where I live, only near where I work. I work far from where I live, so it works well.

That completely sucks. I've been on SA three times (for a month each) over the past year. I ran into two really, really good sharks. Out of sheer luck, the one only got the PPM money (and a nice dinner out) and the other just wasted a ton of my time. But, there are women on the site just as good as there are guys on our side tearing it up.
On the losing your wife and kids. That also sucks, and I'm also a married dude tearing up SA. But, you got to kind of assume the wife / kids are gone if you are tearing it up on SA. I mean at some point, even the best monger, something is going to slip. I'm about as good as it gets (IT guy who knows how to hide shit, job that allows me flexibility to meet girls, and a non-tech wifey). And I've had two close calls. I was walking back to the car with the wifey two weeks ago on a date night in Athens, and one of the chicks I first hooked up with waved to me from the one glass windowed brewery, LOL Luckily, she was with a dude her age, and I joked it off, but it's going to happen at some point. The wifey made some snarkey comment of why is some 20 year old blonde chick smiling and waving at you.
I already have my emergency "I got caught" fund ready, and I've been done with my marriage. I'm just hanging around because I like double dipping (wifey is a nympho, not attractive, but loves to fuck) and I know I'm going to get ass raped getting divorced (would have if I didn't monger anyways).
Did you give your wife, ex-wife, an STI? I've been kind of careful, but that's always a threat too. That's a good divorce lawyers wet dream here in Georgia. About the only thing worse, is if you wife was a stay-at-home mom your entire marriage. Good luck man.
