They've made TOR pretty easy to use these days. TOR is good and provides some safety and increased ananomity on the web but it is not foolproof. For simple things like getting around TER's US IP block it should work fine but I would not expect it to hide you from the NSA or even FBI these days.

https://www.torproject.org is the place to start. You can read up on it so you understand how it works and download the browser bundle.

Looks like another site is gone, E C C I E.

I can't reach it through a VPN or TOR but they had started blocking known TOR IP addresses and some VPN IP addresses last year so I'm not 100% certain that the site is down or just blocking US IP addresses.

Looks like MyProviderGuide is gone now too.

These Do-gooders who think they are helping themselves get re-elected with laws like this are actually putting the people they are trying to help in even more danger. The real bad asses will now simply go from the internet to the street where these people will be in real danger.

How are "they" not going to catch up with this site? Amazing that in this day and age--this could be happening. Also just tried to log into TER and got the same statement-they are even issuing pro rata refunds / credits!!

So--it doesn't seem like this is a short term situation.
