Not 100% sure its the same owners but a few years ago I was trying to avoid a shut down on I55. Found myself on Roosevelt westbound. About a block east of Cicero. There's a place called Bare Assets. Signs for DVD's, magazines, & live dancers. Didn't check it out but it sure looks like the same type of place. Just did a google search, seems to still be open (don't know for sure). Couldn't tell by my web search if they still have dancers.

As much as I enjoyed that type of place 30+ years ago, I lost interest when I discovered the lunchtime "fashion shows" that were everywhere in the late 80's. Miss those days!

Never went in myself though. This has to be 10 ish or more years ago. I think the sign might have been old or the adverts as they didn't do the live dancers by then. Most of what is left down here and there is one on cicero, are gay cruising type places w / gloryhole action reported, however even those are going more underground w / so called "private health clubs" and memberships which are really fronts for gay activity. Yea it is tough and I agree I miss those days as well. Thing is I am still down here or returned anyway to live and I am like WTF where is everything? Stopped there on Saturday night since it was on my way home from St Charles, they wanted $15.00 cover fee plus $3. 00 for parking. I laughed and said "no way I am paying to park" I walked away laughing all the way home.

Wow the last time I knew about that place they had some tax problems but I may be confusing this place w / another one that was out near the du page county airport. I used to visit one on Halsted in-between Randolph and Lake. At the time it was called Bare Assets. Popped my cherry there. Are you me, because I had the same experience there. I went to UIC and would take the halsted bus there. Sadly it is gone! The building isn't even the same anymore. The area has changed, lots of nice restaurants and Gastro bars. Great night life, just not the kind of night life it used to be.

I think the place on Clark Street was operating well up into the 90's. I remember going there once after making a little bit of money at the OTB. Two memories about that place: one was when they had a girl and I really, really hate to be superficial who was so ugly that everybody in the booth stepped out into the lobby to wait until she was finished. Seriously, there were like four guys just milling around waiting for the next girl comment. The other was when I was standing out in the common area waiting to get a private show which really was no different from the public show and there stands the husband of my wife's best friend. We just glanced at each other, nodded, and went on with our business. Nothing was ever said.

The place on Clark was open in to the 90's as was the one on Halsted. Clark street location was where it began for me. It was the first adult entertainment place I ever went since you only had to be 18. It's free admision if you tip the driver. He will take you in a special entrance and introduce you to the manager. The manager will seat you wherever you like. I was out last month and had a great time. The Palomino limo even took us back to our hotel when we were done.

I think if you sign up or order it online it includes a few drinks, the ride back and forth and admission. It was only $60 or so. Sounds good so did you go thru the online reservations for this as i didn't see the free part...i am traveling alone so it would be solo. This sounds good though more of a VIP type thing. Tx.

I have also been rtff over there and yes from what I see a lot of these hustles still exist. For massages they say just look for reviews, do your due diligence and then uber over to a location close by, get out and walk over to the place as a walk in. They say if they see you being dropped off in a cab since they kick back to them your entrance fee is going to be higher. Also I see the strip clubs offer the "free" limo rides to the clubs. I am sure you can buy a limo and drive it yourself by the time you get done w / an evening at their club! Also I was told that casino girls know what's going on and if you don't have big negotiating skills skip them as well. I will just look on BP and CL reviews here and try to touch base with a few once I am out there. I may look at what is known as the trop stroll or loop, but I don't know the terrain so may just try and get numbers if anything. I mean I am semi-retired so in no way shape or form a high roller!
