Based on the meme you posted (Tommy Lee Jones is a democrat BTW) the argument you seem to be supporting is that anyone who is a democrat supported violence during BLM protests. While it is true some BLM protesters were violent, it is a lie and hyperbole to suggest ALL democrats supported it. It would also be a lie to say all republicans supported the violence of Jan 6. The HUGE difference is that the latter was incited by the leader of the free world, the most powerful person in America sworn to uphold the constitution. The actions of the president on Jan 6 were treasonous. He should be tried, as should any violent BLM protesters. The fact remains that the violence of Jan 6 was based on a lie about the election being stolen that continues to this day despite no evidence. But as trump himself has said: He could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn't lose voters. He did a lot worse than that and the sheep continue to follow.

Oh, and sadly the steelers don't suck, historically speaking. But fuck them.

No. The law does not say that. It never said that. all votes legally cast are to be counted. It doesn't matter if it takes 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month. If you vote in the manner prescribed by the laws of your state, it will and should be counted.

But I'll give you a chance to prove me wrong. Show me the statute, old or new, written between the adoption of the US Constitution until today, that shows votes stopped getting counted after the day after the election.
