It's almost a certainty that a smoldering cigarette butt caused it, IMO! More bars burn because of a missed ashtray, or ashtray was dumped into a trashcan with napkins and other combustibles. Often there is a dumpster fire that gets blamed on kids or arson, which is in fact a smoldering cigarette.

A simple cure is to put up a NO SMOKING sign, besides stopping the fires it increases the business with many more customers.

It was the AC unit in the front of the building. They always have a problem with it popping breakers and freezing up. They will be down about 3 weeks, they are remodeling the front end and making a few upgrades.

You may be on to something about a no smoking policy attracting more customers. OZ, and Bare Assets have the best air filtering systems and are usually fairly well populated with customers and attractive dancers. Brass was better than most in clearing the air but I still walk out smelling of smoke. Maybe they'll update their air system during the remodel.

Problem is if there was no smoking there probably would be no dancers. Of all the dancers I know, and that's a lot, all but three I can think of are smokers, and all but one of them, vape, even though they complain about having to sit around in a smokey environment all day. They'd probably migrate to a smoking club even if it wasn't as nice as long as it had some customers with cash.

They should make a designated smoking room or lot at the back like California clubs. Some of them have benches where customers (smokers) can join while their dancers need to smoke.

Their FB page says they will be closed a few days for repairs. Glad it wasn't a total loss, I like that place!

At the scene US19 is closed with fire hoses and equipment crossing both North and South bound lanes.

At this hr 5:45 am the Brass Flamingo is burning. US19 has major delay times in the area. The club closed when the fire was spotted on the roof. More at 11.

Holly has danced in the past, so it's possible if only 1 dancer showed up she got back up on stage. I've seen shot girls and the occasional bartender dance at several of the clubs when times are slow.

If I missed her dancing I'm sad, she runs up and bear hugs me every time I see her, but all she'll ever serve is drinks LOL.

I know pictures can be deceiving but I don't think that's the one who was dancing for me. Sorry gents.

There is another dayside bartender, I think her name is Eve or Evie, sometime shot girl, but I think she has brown hair. They probably rotate a few others through from time to time as well. If it had been Holly, I'm sure you'd remember. She moves through that place like a whirlwind, and everybody notices!

Consider this a public service announcement. After visiting Lollipops about a week and a half ago found some no so welcome symptoms on little Bud. Hit the clinic today and after three tubes of blood and a urin sample they threw some antibiotics at me and said they would have the results in a week or so. Long story short, this came from a BBBJ. Thank god I'm not married. That would be a hard one to explain. I love my Strip Club visits and always have a great time. This is the first time anything like this has happened in the ten years or so I've been really active for extras in the back. Be careful fellow mongers, the shit is real. BuddMann out.

Great update BudMann, some mongers believe they cannot acquire a STD's through a BBBJ, Guess again. All bacterial STD's and some viral infections are indeed easily transmitted through a BBBJ. Particularity dangerous is Hep C, which is very easily communicated. HIV is not an issue as it has no known transmission to males this way without a cut or blood present. BTW, existing STD's make the likelihood of acquiring HIV much more likely, if you already have an STD and attempt BBFS you are very likely to acquire other STD's including HIV.

Budmann, please post the name, address and cost of "The Clinic" as it could make other party goers more likely to get medical treatment.
