I've also been going to clubs since the late 1980's. Tampa in the mid 90's was like the Wild West. Great times and great girls. I stopped going to the clubs about 10 years ago. Probably the greatest reason behind that is age. It's not that appealing to me anymore, more of an AMP guy at this stage. One things for certain, the girls in strip clubs 20 or 30 years ago seemed to be much more "friendly". They'd come of the stage give you a quick hug and kiss for tipping them. I'm a regular in the strip club world and have been going to them for almost 40 years (since before coming to FL). Tonight I was having a bit of a reality check conversation with one of the younger dancers from a Pasco club. But I'd love to hear your perspectives on the topic since it covers something that I've been hearing over and over from several of the girls in the Pasco club scene. Specifically those who do NOT necessarily indulge our preferred hobbies (and now they are bitching about the girls who give us what we want).

So this particular dancer got into the club life a couple of years before Covid, back when the economy was doing better and the club scene was a little different. What she doesn't really get is that this world rolls in cycles and the cycle has shifted in the post Covid world, especially given the shitty state of the USA economy right now. When she started she was only a stage / pole girl (no VIP and no extras) and she also worked as a bartender, door girl, etc. Over the last few years. But now she isn't getting fired for those positions (yes, these girls are always bouncing from club to club chasing the money trail. And now her money trail is hitting more brick walls and she doesn't like it).

Some perspective for those of you who don't know. Strip clubs are just one type of sex work. Sex work comes in many forms, from street walkers (hookers) porn stars and very high-priced escorts. In between you have strippers, what used to be called "Backpage Girls" (escorts who advertise online, BP is shut down but countless other sites have taken its place), and in more recent years who have Cam Girls and * Fansly, etc. Within each line of sex worker there are variations based on services provided, going prices, etc.

In the strip club world, when times are good and the money is flowing easily, you can have girls who only dance on stage or work the floor but who make good money doing just that. You will always have some girls who do "extras" (suck and fuck) in the VIP or outside of the club, but not all girls will do this. If the economy is doing well then guys are more likely to spend money on ALL the girls. However, when things get tight then people become much more selective about where they spend their money. They focus on basic needs / wants, and will give up the extra "nice to have" stuff.

Sex workers are a commodity like anything else. Yes, PEOPLE ARE A COMMODITY. Period. Not just sex workers, but office workers, fast food employees, white collar workers, etc. Business is in the business of making money! If a business is dealing with a bad economy then it is going to focus on keeping the customers that helps it make the most money. In the club world this is via the bar tabs, VIP rooms, and which girls bring in the most customers.

Sex is a basic need. Tipping the pretty girls who can do cool pole tricks is a nice to have, but it is NOT on the same basic animalistic lust NEED LEVEL as plain ol' "suck and fuck" sex. That is just part of being human and a part of life. You may not like it, you may not agree with it, but that doesn't make it any less true.

So right now I have a few dancer friends who are complaining that the clubs won't hire them or put them on staff (door girl, bartender, shot girl, etc.) and they try to blame it on a variety of factors. Sure, there is a LOT of drama and politics that happens behind the scenes in the club world. But the overriding factor that never changes is SEX SELLS. And strip clubs will always be about Sex first, even at the expense of the Dancing, Social Interaction, etc. Meaning that a girl who only does pole tricks, or who only sits and talks with customers, etc. Will never do as well money wise in a tight economy. If a guy only has X dollars in his pocket and he has to decide between a BJ in the VIP or simply tipping the nice girl who talks to him or is great on the pole. Well, MOST of the time the "little head" will win out over what the "big head" may be thinking (especially when you add alcohol into the mix). An average looking girl who sucks will do better than the perfect model girl who doesn't.

And right now that is the cycle we are in with most of the clubs in the Tampa Bay area. The girls complain that only the "cubans" or the "suck and fuck" girls are making any money. Yep, that is life right now. Being that hot goth girl with a face tattoo vs. The clean faced Barbie doll girl may have a tiny bit to do with why you can't make money. But the biggest factor is that you don't suck and fuck the way some of the other girls do.

I'm not telling you to ***** yourself out. Do what works for you. If you want to do "extras" then I support you. If you don't want to do extras then that is cool too. But maybe right now is NOT the time for you to try to make a living in a strip club.

There are entire websites dedicated to reviewing all types of sex workers. Who does what, what the going rates are, etc. Word gets around fast and those girls who are making good bank are fucking. Some embrace it and work it to their advantage. Even on sites like * if you only post solo masturbation or T&A, don't expect to make as much as those doing porn. Even the most well know (Amouranth, etc.) are now doing hardcore porn. They are now competing with many porn stars (Lena Paul, etc.).

So I'll say it again. Sex Sells. And in harder economic times people tend to focus on their basic needs first. Sex is a basic need. If you aren't willing to be a sex worker then right now is probably NOT the right time for you to try to make it is the strip club world.

I was not sure where to put this report. It pinellas county but closer to pasco. I saw this place driving by so I stopped in. Two Florida white girls working. A old female bartender. Place looked decent. No patrons to speak of. I tipped both girls when they were on stage. One girl ignored me. The other was shy. I asked for a dance. I got the most lame non touching dance I have gotten in many years. I just chalked it up to maybe these girls don't have any experience. I will avoid this place in the future.

It's sort of a hike from the Tampa area but in my opinion, well worth it. The night I went, the cover was $25 (rather than the standard $10) due to the fact that Linzee Dee was a headliner that evening. It was sort of a waste for me in that I didn't have any intention on staying late to see her. The room itself is (surprise) red and the very long bar is the main part of the room when you first get it. It's a little poorly configured. There was a guy in a motorized scooter who was at the bar and it made it difficult to even get around. To the right of the long bar, the room opens up and there is a stage with a pole. There are some booths and tables with chairs (standard for most clubs). The bathrooms are b behind the bar and were pretty clean without a troll on the evening I went.

There were 12-15 dancers that I saw. Many were sitting at the long bar talking with customers. I don't know if there is a drink minimum -- I didn't order anything and had no pressure to do so. It didn't take very long for Alexa, a slender attractive Cuban with long brown hair to join me at my table. Her English wasn't great, my Spanish was even worse, but she let her hands do the talking at the table and after watching one of her colleagues up on the stage, we negotiated for a dance in the back. It's $85 for 15 minutes and then whatever is negotiated with the dancer. I had a very fulfilling dance with Alexa and definitely got the full 15 minutes. The lap dance rooms are 3 booths that are separated without doors but there is a velvet curtain separating that room from the main room. There was not one else back there when we were; I could see that the privacy might be compromised on a busy night.

After my dance with Alexa, I went back out to recharge. Another cute Cuban was sitting at the bar with another guy but she definitely caught my eye. She had a little better English (and her hand communication was top notch like Alexa) and after a little bit of a rest period in the main room, we went back for another 15 minute session. I think her name was Candice or something like that. Once again, I was fully satisfied, by her dance, I had my full 15 minutes and was not interrupted at all.

So I had a nice time at the Red Room and would plan to return the next time I'm in the area.

Going to a strip club is a luxury, just like going to a fancy restaurant. When the economy is bad some people have to skip both because they can only afford Burger King. Those who do have some money to spend will still go but will order the meat and potatoes because that feeds their basic needs, but they skip out on the nice-to-have dessert.

Sex is a basic need. Tipping a girl who is great on the pole and has better conversation skills is more of a dessert. Right now the economy sucks and so many guys are more interested in basic needs. Handys are going to be 'result will vary' based on the provider. I've had a few that were mind blowing, others that treated it like a chore.

Every back room I've been to has just a curtain for privacy; so almost none at all. If you're scared of getting caught, clubs aren't for you.
