Have lot lizards gone the way of the dodo?

I was on over the road driver up until about 1. 5 yrs ago and went to TX just about every week. LEO has pretty much wiped that vocation out. There are a few cities where they state in the BP ads that they are trucker friendly but that is about it. There are a few places where the LEO have CB's in their vehicles and listen for that type of activity and I have seen them get pretty creative at finding the girls. Many drivers will avoid it now because if / when they catch you they arrest the driver and tend to impound / tow the truck which is pretty pricey. Semi tow trucks tend to charge $300 or so just to hook up the truck and then $2-$5 per mile.

You may find some in towns where the "city center," the only game in town, is the interstate truck stop. You're probably only going to find that if you travel through the Great Plains states, or near Native American reservations. Places Backpage doesn't even reach. I feel bad for mongers who only have that at their disposal. It actually makes me feel thankful.

The Ryan road truck stops are right where all the 27th street notels are. Used to be a hotbed. You didn't have to be a trucker, just drive through the lot and you could see them. But now most find business online. I haven't been to Love's or any of the others for awhile, I would bet you could still find a few from time to time. Maybe they lurk there in between appointments, it's easy enough to head back to their room when they have someone coming.

Yes all the notels are on Ryan and on 27th St. I don't care which one you are looking at. Loves, Pilot, or Quik Trip. No lot lizzards that I have ever seen. Clearly the internet has changed things. Dodo bird it is.

I'm pretty sure with the advent of the smart phone where a trucker can go online and find a girl from his own rig, the number of lot crawlers has decreased significantly. A provider doesn't have to be on the lot, risking some kind of enforcement, to get to some horny trucker. The truck stops have, over the past few years, tried to keep the providers off the lots, so between that and cell phones make the lot lizard about as scarce as a pay phone.

It's been awhile but there were always a few around the Ryan road truck stops. They are so close to all of the 27th St notels it makes sense they would also cruise the truck stops.

Been coming thru Milw. For yrs. Never seen any s / w in the truckstops, do anyone know where they may hangout and come to the big trks. Any info. Appreciated.

Not sure where they're hanging out these days but I've seen some BP ads that the girl advertises herself as "trucker friendly". I'm guessing that means that the working girl will come to your rig.

I've never heard of any around Milwaukee. I have thought about it though and I think the level of organization required is beyond what most SW would manage on their own. Back in the day (before cell phones) I think they arranged everything over CB with code words. This would require transportation and a radio operator on the supply side. The girls now can just post on BP and the trucks can meet them at their hotels.

I drive truck out of Milwaukee haven't heard any girls for years at the truck stops but there's always girls at the motels around the truck stops and 27th street that's were a lot if the no girls hang out.

I remember, years ago, checking out some of the smaller ones north of Milw along Hwy. 41.

I used to drive around that area for work so I would say that I probably did at least 20 or 30 drive throughs & walk in and stroll around. I never saw even one. Of course this was always during the day so could be a different story at night?

Best bet might be the bigger ones south of Milw. Like the Ryan Rd truckstop (s) & the ones further down by the state line. My guess is that nighttime might be best hunting.

I assume you are a trucker. Don't you guys chat about that kind of stuff on the CB's?
