Hey Soap! I just cruised down State Street! Your are absolutely right. There is no parking on State on the south side, right up to the Speed Limit sign in front of the White House by the alley. Then there is parking from there right up to Rickie's dumpster, which is just a step from the door. The city probably doesn't want you parking too close to the corner so as to obstruct visibility for people coming north on 26th. I don't know for sure, but that's my thought. So park to your heart's content as you make your way home, my friend. You can rest easily that you won't get a ticket.

P.S. I just noticed that I never really answered your question! You asked "Why do you say park as close to the front door as possible? I suggested it for three reasons: 1.) It shortens the walk to the door, especially when it's raining; 2.) It reduces (not eliminates, but reduces) the risk of damage to your car in that neighborhood; and 3.) To assure chocolate pussy lovers that the risk is minimal in going to that club! Sorry for having overlooked the fundamental question your post. I assure you I was not trying to circumnavigate your query. Hope that helps!

I know upscale places like Silk have a permanent guy standing guard outside. At Rickie's the bouncers / door guy step outside to have a smoke or shoot the shit with their friends. How do I know this? Because I've had to walk past them both on my way in and on my way out. Are they there permanently? Nope, never said they were.

If there is No Parking along State Street in front of Rickie's, then I have parked illegally there every time I've been this year, not 20 years ago. I've never been ticketed, and no one has ever called me on it (like the guys standing on the stoop when I pull up). But thanks for the heads' up! I will definitely be more careful in the future.

Does anyone have any reviews or stories from The Vegas Club in Delavan? I use to go there quite a bit and it was great back in the day. However, I have gone maybe 2 x a year now days and its usually pretty lame.

For what it's worth, I met a girl at show palace in spring, we chatted did some dances, did some shots, she excused herself to the back and I sat and chatted with the bartender a bit, next thing I know the girl comes back out and hands me the keys to her car and says go get in the back seat I'll be out in a min. I didn't know what to say other than. Ok!! I did and sure as shit she came out in flip flops and a hoodie and nothing else! Fucked her brains out, walked to my car and left and she never asked for a thing!

Not suggesting this can happen often but it still can no matter the club. If the girl is into you and you don't push or act like a creep the unicorns are still there!

And BTW this girl was 19!

They don't do that. The girls don't even go outside through the front. Security wouldn't have let that happen. If the girl did try that, the girl would be fired on the spot.

Ricky's is fine inside. Yes, everyone there is black except for one female bartender. I've been there oodles of times and never ever ever had any hassels. I have had a bunch of girls give me their numbers for TO. Only problem there is, dancers don't start coming in until late. Figure that before 11:00 there'll be slim pickens. However, you want to park as close to the front door as possible. It's nice to have the bouncer on the stoop looking after your car. Again, I've been there 100's and 100's of times w / o problems going to and from my car, but if you're not use to the neighborhood, it can be unnerving. If you like white girls, OTB and Silk are all fine, but I don't know how much in-club action you'll get.

From Ricky's. Used to be a safe destination 25-30 years ago but for an out of towner you'll stick out like a sore thumb. There's really only one ethnicity in the rotation. If you're looking for Caucasian women, OTB is your best and safest bet.

Ricky's is fine inside. Yes, everyone there is black except for one female bartender. I've been there oodles of times and never ever ever had any hassels. I visit Beansnappers a couple times a year, including a few weeks ago, and I've never felt unsafe in there. I have overheard one bartender talk about his time served and parole, but so be it.

My opinion of Beansnappers is it's just lame. As an NA place, I find 2/3 rds of the customers are kids 18-21 who just want the thrill of seeing tits on something other than a screen.

The last few times I've gone, none of the five or six dancers they have on duty has done the ticket thing (they raffle the chance to get dances) or has approached me for dances. One of the dancers does flip my lid, but all I see her do when she's not on stage is occasionally come out the bar, talk with a regular or two, give her tip out to the bartender and go back in the back.

So you go to have a soda or two, see the stage show, be bored and leave. Big whoop.

That's good to hear at least. The last few times I was there the parking lot was full of bikers and they'd come in and try to start shit with customers.

Based on what I have read, it doesn't sound like there are a ton of options, but I am posting here on the off chance that someone can point me to the diamond in the rough.

There is no place in Milwaukee where you can get in-club service. Rickie's, which is an all black club, has the best options for take out. I love chocolate, so I've had good luck there.
