Went to Encore the other day, still same vibe as usual. Hole in the whole bar that happens to have naked ladies that dance on stage and occasionally walk around asking for a tip for a dance that they know damn well you didn't see cause the bar doesn't give a good view of the stage. But still a cool spot to drop by for a drink or two and see some titties. A couple of the girls were decent to talk with. There was a pretty blonde with flotation devices that I would give a 8/10 on it. Rest of the pack was your typical rejects that you wonder if there is any type of audition or do they just accept any ole female who is willing to take their clothes off and dance around.

Ha good one! Even if you drop 1 k and gave the bouncer half of that you still wouldn't get any action there.

I think those areas are for groups of guys, parties, etc. As a single guy you should be able to pay the cover and roam around the cheap areas. LOL. We should get a bunch of us on here (via DM) and check this new setup out. I bet some crazy good stories would come out after a few beers and some nice titties in our faces. My tax return should be arriving any day now.

My thoughts exactly, last time I went with a group of guys we easily dropped 2-3 k and I also that was the first time I didn't have security watching like a hawk. But outside of that experience they have been pretty no touch and no fun. The circle stages might not be that bad, depending on how I do during March madness I might make a trip out there this weekend.

I was trying to think of what to make of that diagram when I saw it. I think posting that was a mistake on their part.

At first glance, it almost looks like your only option to not spend $500++, as they put it, is to sit at the Main Bar. I'm going to guess you can sit at the back bar ("Center Bar") as well, but knowing how Silk likes to put those damn 'Reserved' signs on all their tables, even when the damn place is empty and the tables clearly haven't been reserved by anyone, it looks like those are your only two options other than sitting at the stages.

I wonder if those areas supplant the old rooms that were 3/$125 or 30 minutes for $300. Those rooms are still on the diagram, but the diagram doesn't show the lapper area, which makes me wonder if what were the rooms are now for lappers.

Anyhow, those prices are ridiculous. They're on par with what they were charging for their membership program that I think was barely used. I wonder if this corresponds to that, or if they're expecting that much each time someone wants to go into those areas.

In Milwaukee, those sorts of prices scare people off. It makes you wonder what they're charging for everything else. I'm almost scared to go because I feel like just walking into the wrong area might cost $500. In a time where people have less money to spend and strip club culture is kinda on the outs even with the bachelor party crowd, pricing yourself out of people going is a bad strategy. This doesn't look like it's destined for success at all.

Those prices are absolutely ridiculous at that location. I could see the $$ section working at Downtown, but at that location it's a complete joke. I also hate the idea of the round stages. I know it's to get you to spend to move to the exclusive areas, but it just means people will hang at the bar and spend nothing.

Silk Platinum had their grand opening this weekend. Glad I skipped it. I have a pretty good feeling this new format will be short lived. Especially at this location. $12 cover before 10:00, $20 after 10:00. I saw this preview post on their Instagram page, scroll to the second image and you'll see a drawing of the new floor layout. Look under the drawing and you will see the minimum spending requirements for certain areas. Those kinds of prices better come without the rules that Silk is famous for.

Some girls are straight about no extras. I respect that and will still do a 3 for $100 but will be hesitant to do a room.

I completely agree. If I have $100 to burn I'd much rather burn it somewhere like OTB in the afternoon where you get more for your money. Those 3 for $125 rooms at Silk were the biggest ripoff. They may have been semi-private, but towards the end the girls weren't even putting any effort in. I haven't been to Heart Breakers recently enough to know what things are like there, my last few experiences there weren't the greatest so I've been hesitant to go back.

I'm not going to say the three for $125 didn't serve a purpose, but not with the talent they had at Silver Spring the end. Nothing was worth it with the talent at Silver Spring at the end.

The deal still serves a purpose at Silk Madison, where they're super strict about the rules in the regular dance room. I'll pay the $50 premium there over the $75 price for three regular dances to let hands roam more with some of their better talent. The deal was even worth it here when they first implemented it 8-10 years ago. Then, Silver Spring still had the top talent in the area, even when their dances were only $20, and they weren't as locked down with rules as Madison.

But I think it all goes back to Milwaukee only having so much capacity for talent and Silk spreading things too thin with three clubs. I think the best talent has been going to Silk Downtown and OTB, if not making the trip to Chicago. There's not enough quality talent in this city to staff three Silks, OTB, Heart Breakers and the other clubs. At some point, lack of talent makes it not worth going.

Heart Breakers isn't a regular stop in my rotation, but I throw it in once in a while. I was pleasantly surprised at the talent last time I was there. Decent mix.

I'm not convinced the Silk name carries weight with the young folks the way it once did. I'd make the case OTB has surpassed Silk and even Heart Breakers has largely pulled level. I also think the few folks in Gen Z who can afford to go to strip clubs don't want to. It's not their vibe, or if they can make a big deal of it, they'll go to Chicago or Vegas.

Silver Spring was pretty dead when they shuttered it. It'll be difficult for this to do any worse.

We'll see when it comes to downtown and Art's. If they're the money makers right now, they might be reluctant to change them. Then again, this might be an experiment to see how the change goes over in preparation for taking the other clubs this direction.

I share your hesitance, though. I think people are largely done with Silver Spring. I don't think this will feel like a big enough change to lure people back.

The premise on those nights is it's as much a concert as anything. They had Laidback Luke in once. Even if you don't necessarily know who he is, he's a recognizable enough DJ name worldwide that he could draw a decent crowd at a Summerfest stage.

For those of us who are mongers, yeah, no, not worth it. But we're not the crowd they're aiming at.
