OK, on with the sarcasm.

The remodel is very very nice IMO. Even the bathroom is nice! LOL. Bar is a nice granite top!

Yes, because I go strip clubs for the bathroom and the bar.

If you like heavily tattooed over weight ladies with tons of make up and some piercings this is your place!

I can't remember where or when, but I remember being at a place that had something like this. Sure, it's better to get a full, real song, particularly if the DJ's playing stuff you like. I remember getting a dance on Halloween at Scores in Chicago with a woman whose costume was "rocker chick" with big hair, Daisy Dukes and an AC / DC T-shirt. I think it was just a very pleasant coincidence that, after I took her upstairs for lappers, the first song that came on was Highway To Hell. Still, 99 percent of the time, don't really care about the music.

I touched a ladies back and shoulder area and the bouncer flew in and said knock it off. Hands to, yourself! Well ok I guess!

There is no tip walk. It has been banned.

Well at least there's that.

Still, everything you're saying tells me I'm not necessarily missing anything. I'm sure I'll eventually stop in at some point to check it out, but I'm also pretty sure it will be a quick, disappointing visit that will make me wonder why I went to that part of town.

Every ounce of me feels like it's the same club, rules and talent, just with a remodel and some higher-priced areas to sit in.

Maybe some of the "better" talent is there from the other Silks for the time being. Maybe. But other than that, I have a weird feeling we're not missing anything.

Do check it out, though, as someone should confirm.

So I went on Saturday night. The remodel is very very nice IMO. Even the bathroom is nice! LOL. Bar is a nice granite top! There are 3 very small round stages and a bouncers escorts the girls up and down the steps to the stage. If you like heavily tattooed over weight ladies with tons of make up and some piercings this is your place! Music was not as loud as it was in the past. Lappers are now 30 bucks a pop. Here is where it gets weird. So if you buy 3 dances each dance is timed for about 3 minutes. So you go in the booth and sit down and wait until a huge flash bulb goes off. Like the old Polaroid camera days! Then the dance starts. After the timer goes off and the dance ends another flash goes off and the second dance starts. The flash is so bright for a second or two its almost as bright as day! LOL. This process repeats for as many dances as you paid for. So your dances start and stop mid song! I touched a ladies back and shoulder area and the bouncer flew in and said knock it off. Hands to, yourself! Well ok I guess! There is no tip walk. It has been banned. VIP is still 325 for half hour. I did not participate in that. So, there ya go! Have at it!

Went to Encore the other day, still same vibe as usual. Hole in the whole bar that happens to have naked ladies that dance on stage and occasionally walk around asking for a tip for a dance that they know damn well you didn't see cause the bar doesn't give a good view of the stage. But still a cool spot to drop by for a drink or two and see some titties. A couple of the girls were decent to talk with. There was a pretty blonde with flotation devices that I would give a 8/10 on it. Rest of the pack was your typical rejects that you wonder if there is any type of audition or do they just accept any ole female who is willing to take their clothes off and dance around.

Ha good one! Even if you drop 1 k and gave the bouncer half of that you still wouldn't get any action there.

I think those areas are for groups of guys, parties, etc. As a single guy you should be able to pay the cover and roam around the cheap areas. LOL. We should get a bunch of us on here (via DM) and check this new setup out. I bet some crazy good stories would come out after a few beers and some nice titties in our faces. My tax return should be arriving any day now.

My thoughts exactly, last time I went with a group of guys we easily dropped 2-3 k and I also that was the first time I didn't have security watching like a hawk. But outside of that experience they have been pretty no touch and no fun. The circle stages might not be that bad, depending on how I do during March madness I might make a trip out there this weekend.

I was trying to think of what to make of that diagram when I saw it. I think posting that was a mistake on their part.

At first glance, it almost looks like your only option to not spend $500++, as they put it, is to sit at the Main Bar. I'm going to guess you can sit at the back bar ("Center Bar") as well, but knowing how Silk likes to put those damn 'Reserved' signs on all their tables, even when the damn place is empty and the tables clearly haven't been reserved by anyone, it looks like those are your only two options other than sitting at the stages.

I wonder if those areas supplant the old rooms that were 3/$125 or 30 minutes for $300. Those rooms are still on the diagram, but the diagram doesn't show the lapper area, which makes me wonder if what were the rooms are now for lappers.

Anyhow, those prices are ridiculous. They're on par with what they were charging for their membership program that I think was barely used. I wonder if this corresponds to that, or if they're expecting that much each time someone wants to go into those areas.

In Milwaukee, those sorts of prices scare people off. It makes you wonder what they're charging for everything else. I'm almost scared to go because I feel like just walking into the wrong area might cost $500. In a time where people have less money to spend and strip club culture is kinda on the outs even with the bachelor party crowd, pricing yourself out of people going is a bad strategy. This doesn't look like it's destined for success at all.

Those prices are absolutely ridiculous at that location. I could see the $$ section working at Downtown, but at that location it's a complete joke. I also hate the idea of the round stages. I know it's to get you to spend to move to the exclusive areas, but it just means people will hang at the bar and spend nothing.

Silk Platinum had their grand opening this weekend. Glad I skipped it. I have a pretty good feeling this new format will be short lived. Especially at this location. $12 cover before 10:00, $20 after 10:00. I saw this preview post on their Instagram page, scroll to the second image and you'll see a drawing of the new floor layout. Look under the drawing and you will see the minimum spending requirements for certain areas. Those kinds of prices better come without the rules that Silk is famous for.
