Great post. Popeye puts in a lot of effort and contributes a ton so his experience on this is valuable. I would have estimated the STG fake percentage a lot higher than 5%, but maybe I am incorrectly attributing some legit ads as fakes. Clues:

1) TGTBT pictures. Very important, but subjective. Glamor headshots of hot college age women are the obvious trap. Most providers don't do clear headshots, but there are a few exceptions so it isn't safe to assume it is 100% an indicator of fraud. I have a browser plugin named Tineye that can help identify if photos are lifted from elsewhere, but it's not perfect.

2) Weight in kilograms is a dead giveaway. Hopefully they keep making that mistake so it is easy to spot.

3) Email. Earlier on STG there were a lot of fake ads with gmail addresses. This was a dead giveaway, but I haven't seen as many lately. Maybe they're taking them down faster or maybe the scammers are getting smarter.

4) Ad content. Subjective. Too brief or too explicit are good clues, but this seems to vary quite a bit. I've seen some brief ads that were legit (sometimes inexperienced), but the zero or one sentence stuff is a red flag. I assumed this example was fake because of the nonsense word salad. But Eddie Lee later reported she was legit. I'm probably filtering out legit ads.

5) Area codes. I'm not sold on this being a reliable indicator. It seems like lots of providers have out of town area codes, especially if they're new in town. Some switch to local area codes if they stick around in town. Sometimes googling the number reveals ads elsewhere, which indicates both legitimacy and high volume. If I get a scammy response about gift cards or something, it tends to be from a Milwaukee area code.

6) Gift cards / websites. If you get a response about gift cards or referring you to websites, it's a scam. Don't fall for that crap. If the rate of people falling for that crap gets low enough maybe they'll give up. I'm not optimistic.

I had an experience like that with a provider I knew well. Politely asked her to wash-up and offered to join her in a shower. Guess that worked it because she wasn't rushing me out and wanted to see me again.

I saw this girl the other day. More of a lady than a girl—definitely older and / or weathered hard. If that pic (and the one she sends you) is real it is from better times. Haha. I never caught that ripoff report and last week I gave her a shot. Setup was easy and when I got there she met me outside. It was dark and I thought she looked crappy.
