About 15-20 years ago LE discovered that vice raids weren't gaining too much support so they coined the scary trafficking term. Who would be against funding that? The long time Cook County (Chicago) sheriff Dart has made a career of vice raids; has to be Much easier and safer than going after those gangs ya know.

Those ordinances / licensing are just new taxes.

A licensing requirement is not really going to do much is it? I guess it would make it easier to shut down or harder to get (re) established in that they could "revoke your license" if they think anything is going on. I would imagine it lowers the legal barrier in that now they don't have to set up, execute, and prosecute a sting to shut a place down. They can just say "you are not meeting the licensing requirements" and shut it down. What I don't understand is how the Geisha House in Madison continues to operate successfully (not that I at all oppose that, I actually think it should all be legal). Do they have some "unique" arrangement with local LE? That place has been open and operating out in the open for 30+ years. Are the AMPs just not willing to hire enough attorneys to fight they system? GB will now fall by the wayside to I guess.

I saw that several AMPs have a license to operate and operate as a grey market offering additional services. I agree with your statement about the Karen wife who finds or sees a credit card transaction at am AMP and freak out. Her partner may not have even got extras, Karen still freaks out.

As for human trafficing, I think it goes way beyond the AMPs, I saw the bus pull up at the nail salon and see all the workers file out with the boss at the tail of the line. The women in that salon are working off their debt and additional debt they incure with living expenses. Karen doesn't complain about that when she gets her nails done.

Back to my point if I had one. They will continue to operate as the city changes. They just have to figure how to change with the rules. On a side note, the more laws, the more GB can throw at them when they get busted.

Someone has a longstanding relationship with a provider and calls them / texts like they always do, and suddenly it is the cops on the other end. This reinforces, do not text anything explicit or specific.

There is no law against talking to someone to see if they want to meet. Though, you may have to fight it, or have a lawyer, there is no incriminating evidence, and saying, I have known this person as a friend for years and wanted to see them and catch up over coffee etc. May sound like bullshit, but it isn't against the law or evidence of wrongdoing at least.

Many props to the provider giving people the heads up.
