The story has been updated now since I first posted. Says he was seeking an adult not juvenile. Also says 42 people -- 38 men, four women -- were charged in the sting that unfolded over three days this week. Wonder who the four providers were?

Since he's her dad, I don't even think it would do any good for him to throw himself on the mercy of the court. If his attorney can't get him off on a technicality, he's pretty much screwed, I would think.

Entrapment means he is not predisposed to commit the crime, he is as pure as the wind driven snow. If he is a pimp, how can he not be predisposed? If they just furnish him the means to commit the crime, under Mississippi law, he cannot plead entrapment. He is fucked. His best defense under the Mann Act would be if she is already in Mississippi, she didn't cross a state line or if they asked her to cross a state line, then he didn't. That's why it didn't look like a Mann Act sting to me. But it doesn't look like an entrapment case either.

I guess it depend on whether or not she lives in Mississippi or Tennessee and what role he had in getting her here. But if their plan was to catch under age prostitution it would seem to me that this would be the wrong way to do it. I would think they would need to do it by informants and under cover agents rather than stings. The fact that they didn't catch any juveniles would seem to bear this out. Anyone who want to see an under age girl is really a low life scum bag.
