This is what I was posting about earlier this week. The article you posted makes it clear that it wasn't Streetwalkers, after all. It's good ol' Backpage, which makes a lot more sense. I never see ladies out in that part of town.

I call it padding the stats, like a running back that already has 200 yards rushing but is still in the game with a minute left to play trying to pile on yards against a worn down and depleted defense.

Of course prostitution busts are like spraying ant trails with Raid and then bragging about how many you took out. Fishing out of a barrel is the best way to justify your budget.

For example, over here in Little Rock, Ar, there were two recent stories about undercover detectives (freaking detectives) going into two Asian massage parlors and busting two ladies at each location for offering a HE!

Then of course, these glorified Deputy Dawgs got on local television and bragged about it while the news anchor and the reporter SANCTIMONIOUSLY talked about the huge epidemic of human trafficking and how this scourge needs to be eliminated to make the world a safer place which is the same argument that was used by the California politician that went after Backpage and got the adult ad section removed.

Put it to you like this, in my old hood there was the biggest crack house in the area about 3 houses down from me, and it was no secret to anyone.

When the cops needed to make a bust, they would stakeout the crack house and bust people as they came out and left with their rocks / crack / weed.

Eventually years down the road, they did shut that crack house down, but it took YEARS!

But in the meanwhile, the possession busts kept coming. That's why prostitution busts are like sweeping the floor so you don't have to operate the heavy machines. Sweeping the floor is just too easy, especially when the optics matter far more than the substance.

LE does this a lot more than people would think. They tend to make it up as they go along sometimes. Throw shit on the wall and see what sticks tactics. They also will tell you if you admit to what they say, they will get you out of there leading you to think you can go home. Thing is getting you out of there, means getting you away from the scene and in jail.

Right Duckemann, the murders keep coming while Adam 12 polices the message boards and BP. As I have said and others have said, they shutdown the adult services on BP and then nominate themselves as heroes of the day. Meanwhile, other sections like the massage section and the personals are overrun with the old adult section. So you fix the leaky roof in the living room only to have the leak then slide over to the kitchen.

Now if the powers that be did not see that that was going to happen as an immediate response, every action has a reaction, it should be no surprise as to why thwarting the murder rate and other violent crimes have been unsuccessful.

What I want to know is how do you apply for the job where you sit around on your technological device and stalk the message boards, BP, and sites like this one? Talk about easy street, there it is.

Why shoot it out with gangbangers when you can arrest an HJ and hope to nab someone powerful or famous, locally or otherwise?
