The perils of mongering in Columbia continue to manifest themselves. Yesterday afternoon I responded to this ad in backpage that had been placed a few weeks ago:

It appealed to me because I prefer older women, and the girl in the photo was attractive. So I called the phone number in the ad. I asked if this was Shawna, the name given in the ad. Yes; very flat, unenthusiastic tone of voice. This should have been my first warning. She quoted her prices: 1. 3 half hour. 1.5 45 minutes. 1.8 hour. I chose an hour. Offered incall or outcall, I chose incall. She wouldn't discuss services over the phone. She told me the name and location of the motel where she was staying, said to call when I got there and she would give me the room number. (I have had girls do this before; I don't know why they do this.)

When I arrived at the motel room, it wasn't the same girl who was in the picture. I imagine this isn't an uncommon occurrence. She wasn't a total pig, it just wasn't the same girl. One final coda: when I was leaving, I told her that she sure didn't look 41. She looked startled and siad that she's 37, not 41. I told her that the ad said she was 41, which she didn't know. I said "are you Shawna?" She said "no, I'm Gia." I said that when I called I asked if this was Shawna and she said yes. She said that she thought I said Gia. 4:15pm I called the cell phone number in the ad. She answered immediately. I asked her name. Her name is Elena. She sounded friendly and very sweet. She said she is now in the hair salon, just finishing up, and she would call me back in 15 minutes.

5:10pm She called me back and apologized for taking so long. She underestimated the time. No problem. We got down to brass tacks and started discussing services and pricing. She said her prices would be $120 for a half hour and $170 for an hour. I asked about an hour and a half, and she said she would do it for $200. She also offered to come to my place and wouldn't charge outcall rates. Fantastic; I readily agreed. Surprisingly, she also discussed services fairly explicitly and agreed to DFK, BBBJ, DATY, and CFS. This is sounding better all the time. I told her that I didn't have that much cash with me and would have to make a quick trip to the ATM, then would call her back immediately. At this point she sounded a little hesitant and asked if I was sure I wouldn't rather go to a hotel. I said no, I would rather do it at my place. 7:20pm When she hadn't arrived or called, I called her cell and got her voice mail. I left a message wondering where she was. Did she get lost or something?

8:05pm Still no contact. This time I called and left a message telling her that I was getting hungry and was going out to get something to eat. I left my cell number there and told her to call me at that number (heretofore I had been using my land line). 11:00pm Still not having heard from her, I called her from my cell, figuring she might not answer if she saw my name and number on her caller I'd; my cell just says "cell phone." I got her voice mail again. This time I didn't leave a message and just hung up.

So there it is. I got STOOD UP. Worst of all, I wasted a Viagra, which now comes to $23 a tablet at Walgreen's. I tried calling Madison, who has been favorably reviewed on this forum, but got a voice mail. I left a message, but she never called me back.
