Today Radio Times had a program on the class action case against the District Attorney's seizing of property with no criminal case:

The gist of the case is that the District Attorney has a huge conflict of interests, in that the office is partially funded by forfeitures. Those do not go into the general fund like elsewhere.

Does anyone know of a Philly case where a car was seized without the driver being charged?

We at the USASG think it's the oddest perversion that somebody can get arrested for purchasing something that another is allowed to give away for nothing. Posting the article where a Senior Member of this forum has to suffer this indignity, is a whole new level of douchebaggery.

I guess this was Twista's. I hope it doesn't affect the action at other spots. I haven't been out in ages, but don't want the scene to die.

Ah, look at those names and ages in that news report. A couple of pairs of people have the same last name, one of the pair significantly older. If this was 'take yer daughter to work day,' then their is a problem. Might have been a third as the under-aged girl was not reported, but as written could have been associated with one of the other women. Sad.

I am OK, thanks for asking. I was not rattled, not in the least. I have suffered with problems with the written word, all my life. Today they have lots of fancy names for it. In my day we called it being stupid. When I was finally diagnosed it was too late, I had finish school.

I sometimes wonder if my love for Photography is somehow correlated with my inability to write a legitimate sentence.

As a long-time observer, I can assure you he is OK and just being himself. Since I have had him on ignore for years, I no longer have the "pleasure" of reading his posts unless he is quoted, but you should realize some consistencies since day one: His grammar is indeed horrible, but who's going to change that at age 65? He may have been a Marine, but he's human and has always been overly sensitive about criticism. Now be careful or he might call a lawyer, or perhaps his Commandant.
