The (il) legality of prostitution has many fine lines. And for LEO to even prosecute, they need to check all the boxes. They need to have evidence of you agreeing to sex in exchange for money. It is my understanding that if you decouple this is some way, that is more legal. I.E, you can have sex with a stranger for free and in a separate transaction, give them money for something else (or nothing), that would be fine. A few years back, people were saying "roses" instead of dollars. I think in some places weed was also being done like this. I. e. You would buy some stupid thing for a large sum of money and they would give you a gift of weed, or something dumb like that.

I'm no legal expert, so take all this with a grain of salt. But I am wise enough to know when something is obviously wrong.

Regarding that guy filming his escapades in Kensington and posting it online, if we are talking about the same person, he used to have a youtube page but it got shut down for obvious reasons. I think he also got a tiktok page that also got shut down. The one I'm talking about has cameras inside and outside his car because he works / worked for uber / lyft. This one is a black dude with a foreign accent. He is also big on covering up in Kenzo. He went on a big rant about disease down there.

There's another black dude that has a hidden camera that is not afraid of raw-dogging in Kensington and not telling the girls he is filming. In fact, both of these guys are secretly filming without the girls' consent. He's not afraid of showing his face in his vids. I guess he has nothing else to live for.

I'm sure there are many other filmers out there. Some even filming for a private collection.

Weed is something everyone has done / is doing in the privacy of one's own home, but it's done with your clothes on (sometimes). And done as a social experience with other people (usually). Like going to a bar, but different.

Most porn made today is a one man band set up especially now with OF. How it goes is the adult male actor seeks talent and books the talent. When she arrives he has the girl sign some paperwork, she has a few drinks / party, they get on to shooting and then at the end she gets paid. It's the same process with hiring an escort but they have girls sign paperwork and maybe some std testing days before hand. The porn actresses just like escorts want to get the shoot over with so they can get the money and go by blow and go back to their unemployed bf who probably drove her to the shoot in her car.

Porn now is all about shocking people and producing violent and degrading porn that I wonder why women's groups are silent on. A politician could make that argument and not get voted out of office the next time they were up for re-election, and now we have people everywhere legalizing it, federal laws be damned.

Actually if you go aback a zillion years there was propaganda movie called "Reefer Madness" that shaped many post war views and opinions on "Mary Jane. " Me thinks it was recycled and recirculated in the 70's by parents trying to influence their kids during the hippie generation.

Gambling has been proven to be extremely harmful, but Indian tribes realized they could make their own rules on their sovereign reservations and stick it to the people who kicked them off their own land, so they legalized it, enabling a massive stream of revenue, and off to the races we went. The potential harm was plowed under by the tax revenue and once states jumped on the bandwagon the neighboring states realized they were losing out, so most of them followed suit. CT and NJ enticed NY, NJ enticed DE who in turn enticed PA and MD.

Sex work, on the other hand, has been painted with the brush that everyone's being trafficked (which we know to be wrong), and there's a perception that if you need to pay for it that there's something wrong with you. To say nothing of the people who just want to indulge in their "disgusting" "deviant" fetishes.

There's no politician anywhere who thinks they can stand up for legalizing prostitution and believe that they're going to get re-elected the next time their seat is up for a vote, no matter what may be legal in Nevada (outside of Clark County, where the population growth caught up to the law and made it illegal there).

We have a looooooooooooong way to go before anyone is going to propose legalizing sex work in America.

When I read "high end brothel" I was thinking Jeffrey Epstein type of brothel, but looking over the names and prices, it just looks like EPM level brothels. It just looks like the k-girl (Korean) network might have something to worry about. I don't think the average patron of these establishments has too much to worry about. At least not at this moment. It would probably blow through other places before it gets to Philly. And they will probably target big name mongers with name recognition or government security clearance before it gets to the average joe.

A lot of this is like investing / gambling. You shouldn't gamble with more than you are willing to lose.

Yea I saw this today. Politics is a dirty business. I think when the powers that be were tipped off of big names certain people decided to jump on it to advance a political career and make themselves look good for the public. When you're in politics you can't have dirt on you because your opponents will use it against you.

Just like the war on drugs nothing will stop the adult industry because there is too great of a demand and too much money involved. It's just every once in a while a bust will happen to let the public believe their tax dollars are at work or someone is looking to advance their political career.

This report came across my desk. I had to view it with a certain amount of skepticism. Kind of like closing the barn doors after the horses left.

I'm sure there was a bunch of good 'ol boys high-fiving and shoulder-slapping, and fist bumping. I'm looking at the numbers here, and they seem quite minuscule in comparison to the "real issue". Not even the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

From what I've seen this exercise in muscle flexing is for show only during a time when votes are the ultimate goal and not making the neighborhood a safe place to be in.

My opinion of those who sell or deal drugs are thugs and all those that make it possible are thugs. That includes those in city government and law enforcement who have way to long looked the other way. Why would they offer some thugs a diversionary program? These people already think they are above the law to engage in the activity they engage in. Do they think by offering a diversionary program they will have an epiphany and come to their senses? It's doubtful considering the vast economic differences.

Gov't created the issue by allowing people to do drugs on the streets and turning a blind eye for the sake of the vote. So while this will not make a dent, you have to start somewhere.

This is another clear example of the delusional atmosphere this city government lives in. The reality is the zombies still walk and the drugs are being sold a block away. The guns are still a threat to all who dare venture into that area. The bodies still pile high on the spot where they fall. The trash and filth haven't changed at all. The addicts still piss and shit wherever they happen to be when the urge strikes. Then they head to Quick Stop and grab an ice cream.
