Personally I think its terrible this happened to you. As so many others have said, and I'll say, sorry you had to deal with that happy pig shit.

Sorry about your bad experience! It sucks when it happens. Nothing worse than being 'primed to go' and having it end abruptly. Plus that is a high price to pay for a bit of learning. Appreciate you posting a warning for others.

One way I have found to avoid rip-offs is to never pay up front. Girl insists on 'money up front' and I leave as the odds are high she is a scammer. I guess you could leave money out in the open, then if someone barges in, scoop the money first and then head out.
