I think for this area they put off the big game stings until the first four tournament at UD. Being a smaller city it would be more cost effective to target that crowd of visitors. I have noticed in the past that they also target Hamvention time as well. That makes more sense to wait and target large events in this area since we do not host that often. Once a year it seems they also run one aimed more at the direct locals and that's a common occurrence in almost every state. Thats the shame game they like to play. Every time we go mongering or a gal decided to see someone new theres always a chance to get stung. It goes with the territory. If you can't face that fact you might want to reconsider what you are doing. Everyone that mongers and everyone that provides is a target for LE. Fortunately for everyone many times its overlooked as theres more important business at hand for them but a few times a year they run stings so they can continue to receive the grant money from the Fed. Just have to watch your 6 cause you never know who is watching and when.

I see the press release is out on this year's nationwide prostitution stings during the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. As with last year, NO agencies in Montgomery County participated. Of some interest, the press release does mention that a few LE agencies used an artificial intelligence (AI) bot, code-named Project Intercept to target sex buyers:

The last time I was there was a couple years ago to see a gal at the Knights Inn for a quickie BBJ which wasn't that good anyway. Yesterday (2/5/2018) the I-75 & I-725 intersection was shut down due to an officer involved shooting of a car-jacking suspect that just robbed the Shell station on Byers road. There were an amazing number of flashing lights from several jurisdictions as the I-75 exit to SB SR 725 was closed as well as SR 725 in both directions under the overpass.

Found out today in the DDN report about the incident that there was an almost instantaneous response of local, state and federal LE since there were multiple jurisdictions with unmarked cars parked nearby watching some of the local hotels due to both drug and prostitution activity. Mostly the extended stay, but also the low-priced hotels. Evidently unmarked LE in the Perkins and Bob Evans parking lots as well as the RRI and Knights in. Looks like something major could be in the works so be very careful.

Yeah, it's very hot there right now. The only places that might not be compromised are Studio 6, and I've heard that the owner of Knights Inn is possibly paying off Miami Township PD to turn a blind eye to prostitution activity, but that is unconfirmed. Always watch your six there.

I had briefly touched on this awhile back when posting about these hotels. Didn't mention much about the drug watching as I didn't think it was relevant to the purpose. They arent watching for prostitution too much really unless a complaint is filed or the provider has drug connections running in and out. They are there because much of the cartel drug trade is working out of these hotels. This has been going on for well over a year.

I have seen a few news stories of mongers / girls being arrested / charged after being followed by undercover (after a pickup on the streets) , to their garage or hotel, then pulled over after they left / done whatever in the privacy of their own home / place. Seems hard to believe someone could be charged, maybe harassed, pressured to talk, but charged? That is as long as neither person says they done anything illegal? This press release from the Montgomery County prosecutor reports that a 19 year old guy accused of murder during sex act has been convicted. His 17 year old female accomplice was performing a sex act on the victim inside a car when the victim was shot. For her part, she was also found guilty in October.
