Any site that is based in the US or has a US domain (like. Com) will be affected. Many sites including social media have already shut down or shut some ads down after this bill was voted on by the senate. Backpage was being stubborn so I am guessing they got them with tax fraud some how. We have been talking about it on social media for a few months now.

I was wondering how long BP could survive given what happened with CL. For some reason, I thought BP was not hosted in the US and that's why they were continuing to operate, but apparently not.

They only seized the domain names. So they are updating the dns servers for all the backpage.com addresses.

So what they can now do is register it with some other country dns. Just won't be. Com here in the US anymore.
