I think you have it right. I would recommend that if anyone is planning to see the Asians to just park and observe the scene for awhile first. If you see anyone being approached then you'll know if it's safe enough for you.

First, I get a lot from both mongers, enjoyed each's posts. I carry too, and it ain't about being tough. My report is yesterday I was visiting the Asian ladies near the airport, which I have done many times.
