I think the screening methods are a little different. Similar tools (reverse number and image searches) but different interpretation of the results. Also, there are still some sites around with reviews of girls you'll find on STG. Nothing on SA girls in this area accept an occasional mention on this site.

It's never a good idea to pay a deposit in advance.

I understand that some providers have been burned when the customer ghosts them. But far more gullible men have been burned by scammers who were never going to be providers. So if you want to burn your money, just make a nice pyramid of $20 bills in the backyard and set it on fire. You'll have more fun watching that than you will handing over a gift card and then realizing that the scammers took your money and you'll get nothing for it.

There are all different types on there: some are just straight up scammers (ask for bank account numbers or give a sob story and ask for cashapp money right away); some are operating on the escort model (screen you on SA first, then move to texting or kik or snapchat to give you their pay per meet (PPM) expectation; some want more of a boyfriend / girlfriend thing with a very wealthy guy, sort of a full time gig idea; some think you should give them money and they will text you (LOL); some are just there for fun but spook when you try to actually meet; some want to play blackmail games; some want to find an American husband for immigration purposes (the Venezuelan and Ukrainian girl are hot! Click any random city on the main page and you will find many of the same ads. Clearly those are fake as well.

I'm usually hesitant if they don't have a 518 phone number, although that's far from 100% accurate.
