I've never been to K-street in Philly, and don't plan to.

Go to the PA boards and hear some of the awful stories there. A girl was almost burned to death on Kensington. Some girls with knife or sharp object threaten to ruin your car if you don't give them cash. Car jackings happen often -- you get bumped in the back by a car and as you get out to check the damage, another guy jumps in and steals your car. I would NEVER drive there at night. That area seems to attract the really violent elements of society. Not worth the risks.

I don't want to profess some sort of expertise on this subject but my sales job covers the state of NJ so I am a veteran of all the strolls (Paterson, Newark, Trenton, Camden and Kensington Ave in Philly. In terms of just having options (without weighing if the options are good, bad or terrible) I would rank them; Philly, Newark, Paterson, Camden and then Trenton. Camden has really fallen off, I would have ranked it #1 about 10 years ago but the options have really dwindled. The only good thing about Camden is that if you get shut out, Keningston Ave is a mere 7 miles away. But it comes with a warning, you better have your head on s swivel and know what you doing if you head into Philly, it's not for the faint of heart, its dangerous so just be aware.
