Posts: 107For LE to think that prostitution needs to be curbed because it fuels drug use -- they have that completely backwards, LOL. Have any of you ever met one working girl that got into the sex trade first, and then decided they should give drugs a try, LOL? Of course not! The drugs clearly do fuel prostitution as a way of paying for it, but the other way around, fuck no. If the city or state actually cared about drug use maybe they would spend a little money and effort on drug rehab and going after the significant drug dealers -- that seem to operate with impunity. I guess that is too hard to do, so they pick on low hanging fruit -- the most visible victims of drug abuse. Well, at least the girls get clean for a few months if they go on a gov sponsored vacation -- but that of course costs the city / state / county lots of money. What dumb ass priorities our state has.

From WMUR, last night.
Manchester police said Friday they are continuing to crack down on prostitution as the number of arrests for the crime climbs.
Over the past three months, authorities have seen a spike in prostitution cases, and they said they need to help those involved in prostitution and improve the quality of life for people in Manchester's neighborhoods.
Police Chief David Mara said prostitution fuels drugs offenses and other crimes in the city, and he said he has come up with a plan to attack it.
"To have people walking around and have cars pulling up to them and negotiating a sexual act in a neighborhood where there are children and working people, that's not what Manchester's all about, and that's what we want to stop," Mara said.
While the numbers aren't staggering, Manchester police said they are troubling. From November through January, police arrested 32 people for prostitution, indecent exposure or lewdness. Mara said the driving force behind the crimes is drug money.
XXXXX XXXXXXX lives next to one of the parks that police called a hub for prostitution. She has two children, including a 7-year-old daughter.
"I'm just sick of seeing it," she said. "You know, I can't bring my daughter to the park next door without seeing the prostitutes, and I've gotten into arguments with them. It's just not OK. ".
Mara said he wants to help people like XXXXXXX, but he also wants to help the prostitutes. He said existing laws are adequate to handle the problem, but authorities have to do more than just issue fines or jail sentences.
"It's not about just arresting the prostitutes," he said. "What we want to do is force them to go get treatment for their drug addiction. So we want to work with the courts. We want to work with probation and parole. We want them to get treatment. ".
Mara said he also wants to target the men who come into the city looking for prostitutes, saying they will be arrested and charged, and their names will be made public.

Twice in the not too distant past, I was observed by LEO in the process of picking up an SW on Manchester St. The first time, which I reported on this thread, the girl was within 1 step of the reaching out to my car door when the marked cruiser was heading up in the opposite direction, I put on my signal, stepped on the gas and got the hell out of there. Hated to leave her there, but had no choice, and he WAS close enough to see what was going on. Nothing came of it, but I stayed away for a while, no sense in letting them see you repeatedly in the same area day after day.
The second time, on the same street, but a bit further up, I picked up Kara the redhead, and she was already getting in the car when I was spotted, again by a marked unit. This time I calmly and slowly pulled away and headed quite a distance from the hot zone, being careful to make sure I wasn't followed, and made my way to another part of the city, parked strategically at the spot so I would be able to see anyone approaching from all angles, and kept vigilant while being expertly serviced.
The other notable thing about the unfortunate incident which occurred with the NHMS GM, is that (and I'm only speculating here), I assume that when caught, they were both smart enough to remain silent, in other words kept their mouths SHUT, and ended up getting a bit lesser charge of lewdness in public, rather than prostitution charges.
I know its a small distinction, and won't make much of a difference in his professional or personal life, as everyone knows what the deal was, but most of the time when you get caught in the act, it's when the participants decide to answer all the cop's questions, and admit to the transfer of funds, then the more serious charges are brought forth.
So be extremely vigilant and realize you are being watched, especially on Manch. St. , try to make the pickup and leave the aera as inconspicuously as possible, make sure you're not being followed, and if you are, drop her off or go to a store, Dunkins, mcd's or something instead of your spot, and if you get pulled over, just keep quiet, cooperate with the license and reg, but otherwise, remain silent, and you will better off for it.
