It seems there are some limitations to the messaging system that I missed. As a result, my original note did not send. I have "fixed" this and everyone who expressed interest to this point should have gotten a note.

Due to this irritant, however, no one who didn't explicitly ask to be included by now, either by message or post in this forum, will get future notes. Sorry, I have no interest in excluding anyone but neither do I intend to start a career as a half-assed party planner.

Once we have settled a date and time, I'll post that we have made that decision and reopen requests for info.

Interesting point Blackfire. Who knows if the name they give is real. I've had multiple providers say some Random Joe Blow (probably not a member) has introduced themselves as Benz. It's somewhat humorous. But weird all the same. If the provider knows me, they roll with it so the mood is good and they can keep the date rolling without confrontation.

That sounds cute, but LE are not completely stupid. I wouldn't underestimate them. I doubt they would put a lot of effort into it, but if it was handed to them without significant effort on their part I bet they'd love to hassle the real Benz.

That was basically my view in detail. A two way pw solves this. First one greeting using certain words, other replies using certain words. Pretty simple. Guy1: "Hey, hows it going. Loud in here. Guy2: Yes but it gets's quiet after 5" for example.

One big recommendation I would make to a high profile member is being VERY careful who you tell your screen name to in a gathering like this, unless you are sure beyond a shadow of a doubt you actually know everyone personally.

I agree with Monger regarding being extremely cautious. LE is aware of this site, and of course some others, and they consider it essentially harmless. At the same time, I'm sure they would like to know who a couple of the higher profile members are, and I would bet a dozen donuts that if they knew date and time of a gathering they'd have a couple of guys hanging around, and they would love to connect a couple of the higher profile USA membership names to a license plate number. LE knows a high profile takedown, even if it's a misdemeanor charge, would have significant dampening effect on the local area activity on this board. They don't really care all that much about it, but if you tee it up for them they'll definitely take what's given. I think the risk is quite low, but there is still a risk. Well, first, in response to the same concern from Benz, I did take that part private. But I am not so sure it matters. Such things become public no matter what you do.

Also, last I knew, it is not illegal for people to write erotic fiction, get together at a bikini club, or pay a pretty young woman for a dry hump on someone else's couch.

Should le show up I'll cheerfully buy a round and maybe some couch time. Might do them some good.
