Since I was still in the neighborhood, I sent a message back to her that I could still make it to the appointment if that was okay with her; I followed up by driving to Costco again. Once more, I sent text messages and made phone calls, but never heard back. After waiting for another 25 min I gave up and left.

It is such a shame that she did not, at least, send me a response. I really liked her and we seemed to have hit if off, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I know things come up and that plans don't always follow our desired order, but it seems wrong to let someone drive a long distance in crappy weather like this, only to be left out in the cold! I try very hard not to mess providers up; whenever my schedule changes suddenly and I can't make an appointment, I make sure to call ahead since I believe that is the right thing to do. Maybe I am naive, but I expect people to be conscious and respectful of other people's time.
