Sometimes just a little non-judgmental, patient sympathy can turn a person around. Just after I graduated H. S. (1982), I stopped by a good friends house, we had plans. He didn't answer the door, so I let myself in & found him in the basement, sitting on a bed with a shotgun on his lap. I sat down on the bed next to him while he cried his eyes out about about a girl he was madly in love with. I never said word, just sat there. I have been offering the SW's I know a ride to a pharmacy to get vaccinated I offered them $25 for getting the first shot and $25 for the second shot, no strings attached. So far Becky & Miranda have taken me up on it. I also gave Amber a ride to the pharmacy for a shot, but she is a personal friend, so no incentive there.

Miranda was skeptical, and asked why do I care if she was vaccinated, I told her I know she sees a lot of different people, and I don't want her to get sick.

I have been taking a break from SW for a little while now, but have to drive the stroll 3-4 times a day for work, and I have seen almost no one out there this summer. I was talking to Amber, and she said it was because LEO is hitting it hard this summer. You might remember this girl from her photo in the newspaper last year when she was picked up during a sting. She was in REALLY bad shape with sores all over her body.
