Anyone know this couple? Had them contact me through another ad of mine. Going to try and meet up with them but skeptical of the circumstances. I'm up from DC but have mongered in Baltimore plenty of times over the years, so generally know what to look for and that you guys def are good at passing on scams.

I agree with the others, Google Voice (tied to a disposable gmail account) if you have to.

I haven't posted to Baltimore CL for a while, but the DC board was content to let me verify by email link.

Any chance anyone knows a method to dodge CL phone verification? Doesn't seem to be a way around it these days.

It wasn't an issue at all in the old days and for a while some reposted ads / posts were grandfathered in but it seems required for every post now. With all the spammers and scammers on CL that get through you'd think they would like a few regular people to post.

(1) Get a free Google Voice number.

I am not sure what your issue is. I've posted in Casual Encounters and (I think) Men seeking Women, and I've had to click back an email link, but I have not run into a phone verification.
