I am perhaps a bit on the paranoid side when doing homework about potential gals. Just trying to minimize the probability of having to hassle with some sort of law enforcement entanglement. It is always such a waste of money I could have use more profitably to reach a mutually beneficial agreement with some nice looking gal. I can't decide if they are scammers who found idle facebook pages in the area, if they really are not discrete (A potential problem anyway) and desperate, or possibly LE. I didn't (sometimes don't) always image-check the ads. I usually do it if there are photos that look almost too professional, but don't appear to have the full-pro warning signs (makeup, lighting, high end camera, color-coordinated backgrounds, photoshopped flawlessness, etc).

With seemingly fewer ads on Backpage now, you should have time to scope a few who appeal to you, then run a quick search on the number, images, etc. Still oughta read the forum & follow the 22 rules on the front page.
