Sorry about the broken link on EB. The provider's name is Selina from Windsor Mill / Cationsville. I described my experience as she gave a fake address, then asked me the color of my car and location. I took every precaution a Sr. Member would take and saw a grey Nissan / Ford drive up and down the block with a flash light looking into the cars that fit that description. I will leave it to everyone to make his own conclusion. Be careful.

It's a pretty ingenious (and nasty) setup, if you think about it. They lure guys to an unfamiliar neighborhood (but familiar to them), get a description of the car, then lure them away to search for a bogus address or something. While that's going on, they check out the car and break in if the opportunity presents itself.

In most cases there'd be nothing to connect the provider to the crime and the victim probably wouldn't report it because then he'd have to explain why he was in the neighborhood in the first place. Also, since many mongers leave their extra cash and valuables in the car before going to an incall appt, there's a decent chance a car break-in could be a good score for them.

Even more reason to do as much homework as possible before seeing a new provider and a real wake-up call to trust your gut instincts and feelings. Glad you avoided getting ripped off. That could have been pretty ugly.

I gave her location and "car color" and took all precautions any Sr. Member would take and just observed. Before I knew it, I saw a silver car going up and down that street with a flash light looking into every car that fit my description that I gave. I am just glad that I don't have matching silver brackets tonight. Make your own conclusions, but I know what I saw with my own two eyes.
