Been there a couple of times in the past 2-3 weeks. Seems like the veteran dancers (Kelsie, Taylor, Angel, Soda, etc,) are gone and replaced by some 4' & 5's instead. One night there were just four dancers, and three weren't, IMO, much at all. Hope this isn't the new normal. Anyone have any insight on this situation? Are things that bad, or have I just been there on the wrong nights? (One visit was a weekday and one was a weekend.).

I'm not from the area but pass through every once in awhile. With the recent shutdown of the bars, I was wondering if this included SoCo, which is a "Performing Arts Center" rather than a bar.
Locals, please chime in on this one. Thanks.

Posts: 78Looks like deja vu changed their hours. Opens at 6 now. I liked the earlier open time I don't like this one.

Was there on a couple of recent weekend nights. The private dance rate increase to $30 is for real, unbelievably. On top of that, there's some kind of new rule that the gals can't be in the cubicle before or much after the actual dance begins / ends.
Both nights I arrived about 8:00. One of those nights there were no customers at that time even though they open an hour before that, and one dancer said "No, it's that slow; you're the first one here tonight. " I left within an hour and it wasn't much busier. The visit prior to that was only a little busier, but not all that much.
I'm guessing that the slowness relates to three things: 1) Obviously, the pandemic itself. Customers are often hurting financially at this time as well as being concerned about safety. (To their creddit, the staff does do temperature checks on everyone entering.) 2) The 50% price increase for private dances at a time when things are already slow makes absolutely no sense, IMO. Most of the gals make most of their money from the private dances. Now there's little of that happening compared to before the rate increase. 3) The overall quality of dancers has declined since the closing of a few months ago. Girls probably went on to other things when possible, especially once they found out about #1 and #2 above. Too bad because SoCo was over the years a good time for the most part.

Posts: 555Gave Deja Vu a try
Hadn't been to Tuxedo's for years, so thought I'd give the new place a try. Got there at 5:00, apparently two hours after "opening." Only one dancer, who was a 4 on the stripper scale. I took a private dance, and it was lame! Asked at the desk if more girls were coming and was told that three were arriving soon. I hung around with the one and only other customer for a half hour and then left, assuming he did as well. They are off to a slow start, and it's too bad given that the competition in the area is declining as well. A big chain like Deja Vu could make a big splash in a small pool like QC.

The Deja Vu (Tuxedos) club is now open, with a marked improvement to the place since Corona. Upgraded sound system, and they have themed nights and a social media presence. Google their twitter, they will sometimes post who is there that night if you are looking for a particular girl. Pics are not actual girls there though.
Couch dances are still $15 per song, but songs are cut to 3 minutes. They curtained off the side cubbys in the main room to make some "VIP" dances, definitely more private. Prices are based on time, and are basically the same rate as couch dances. If you want a deal, Thursdays get you 33% more time for your money on VIP dances. The twitter keeps saying $25 dances, not sure what that is about.
Some girls are requiring masks for dances, YMMV. Plenty of good looking and talented girls though, worthwhile (at least to me) to just throw a few bucks at the stage and watch the show. Everyone seems happy to be back.
Only thing that ticked me off is they jacked up the price of sodas. $3 for a 12 oz can!
