HOBART — Six men and one woman are facing charges after police busted a prostitution operation, after tips came into police.

Koren. 23, of Hobart, was charged with prostitution.

Police said Friday that Eric. 37, of Lake Station; John, no age or address available; Michael. 21, Hobart; David. 35, of Walkerton; David, no age or address given; and Boyd. 52, of Valparaiso, have been charged with patronizing a prostitute. All the charges are Class A misdemeanors.

Police received a tip in July regarding 'suspicious activity' at 816 E. 3rd St. The caller said men would park their vehicles at a nearby business and walk to the residence. The caller said the men would be at the residence for 30 to 45 minutes and then leave, adjusting their clothing.

At the end of November, police received a second call describing the same activity.

Police began a surveillance operation on Dec. 1. Police saw an unidentified man leave the east apartment. A woman, identified as Noll, followed him in another vehicle. The man, who is from Schererville, told police he had been paying Noll for sex for two years.

Noll told police she had been a prostitute since age 17 and she charges between $200 and $350 for various sex acts. Noll agreed to help detectives run the reverse sting operation.

The five men were arrested at Noll's apartment by police between Dec. 1 and Dec. 5. Police had installed two hidden video cameras and an audio recorder.

HOBART | Prosecutors charged six men who allegedly solicited a Hobart woman for sexual favors in exchange for money, court records state.

The woman, Koren xxx, was charged with prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor, on Friday after helping police run a prostitution sting, court records state.

Xxx. 23, was questioned by Hobart police Dec. 1 and admitted she had been performing sexual acts in exchange for money, records state.

During her conversation with police she agreed to help in a sting operation, which was run later that day and the next day at her apartment, records state.

On Dec. 2, xxxxxxxxxxxx was taken into police custody after offering her $50 for sexual favors. Police took xxxxxxxxx 35, of Walkerton, into custody at xxxx's apartment as soon as he dropped his pants, records state.

Boyd xxxxx. 52, of Valparaiso, was taken into custody after offering xxxxx $250 for an hour of services, records state. He allegedly admitted to police he had found her on an Internet website.

David xxxxxxxxx was arrested after giving xxx $160 and taking his clothes off, police said. Xxxxxl. 44, of Dyer, said he had met with xxxx at a hotel for sex about six months earlier.

Michaelxxxxxx was arrested after giving xxxx $260 with the intention of having sex with her, records state. Xxxxxx. 51, of Hobart, told police he had found her online and tried on several occasions to set up a meeting with her but their schedules had clashed until Dec. 1, records state.

When John xxxxxx was taken into police custody, he told officers he was in sex addicts anonymous and even had a sponsor, according to a probable cause affidavit. Xxxxx. 35, of Oak Lawn, had been convicted twice in Cook County for solicitation, police said.

Eric xxxxx. 37, of Lake Station, was arrested after giving xxxxx $80 for her services, records state. He allegedly told police he had previously met her in a hotel in Lansing.

All six men were charged with patronizing a prostitute, a Class A misdemeanor.
