Sometimes this happens in the hobby and it has happened to all of us if we are being truthful. You made the right decision by walking away and chalking it up as a loss. It's not worth a confrontation and getting seriously hurt or killed over some money. You have to let it go and hopefully these ripoff thugs will be outed so no one else will get scammed.
