You are correct. New blood is in. I visited the bookstore yesterday and saw one of the girls looking the manager and she was absolutely beautiful. I didn't have time to follow her in but wished I had.

The Vu is under new management but not under new management. LOL.

The old owner is gone. Deja Vu Inc. Bought / forced him out because he wasn't meeting his franchise requirements. The old days shift manager is now the GM. One of the old bartenders is now a manager, as well as one of the DJs. The old night shift manager (who I heard from several past and present girls was the reason they couldn't keep girls there) was let go.

Apparently it's a lot more employee friendly now than it was so the girls are happier, which means they can attract better quality girls and keep them.

The owner was a real douche bag and I've heard mixed reports on the old night shift manager. Some girls thought he was great, others hated him and I know of at least two that left because of him, or so they said.

I haven't been in as much as I used to go but if you're in there look up Mauve (used to be Kitty), she's worth it. Cali (tall mixed girl) is another worth your time IMO. I know she's working tonight and tomorrow.

Take it from a guy who's been to 100's of clubs in the US and Canada there's nothing worse then a Deja Vu strip club almost as fun as a root canal.

What is your favorite in the country, and to what would you compare it?

FYI. I've been going to the Vu here and there for about 4 months now. Apparently the owner is stepping down and letting corporate take over starting this week. Some of the girls seem really excited about it. One was even telling me she thinks they'll be a little more lenient on what goes on in the private booths. I'll feel it out some more and report back.

As a quick side note. If you see kitty there that girl is gorgeous and funny.

I drove by the 'vu the other day and the sign said that their theater is now open. I was wondering if anybody has been there yet? I haven't been inside there in a couple years, didn't want to waste my time if it was bad.

I stopped by on my way through town a few Fridays ago around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Four or five girls working, only one good looking. One dancer sat down and said she was up for Showgirl of the Year in a couple of weeks. This girl had no body, smelled bad, and must have hit every branch on the way down after falling off the ugly tree. The fact that this dancer was up for Showgirl of the Year shows you how far this place has fallen. And nothing annoys me more than the hottest girl in the place not even coming up to you to ask for a dance. Does she not want to make money? I guess she is content to sit at the bar and play on her phone. Ten years ago, this place was great, but it saddens me to say that this visit was my last.

Deja Vu is owned by a large corporation with many clubs of the same name across the country. They aren't going to go over the line in Springfield or for that matter at any other Vu anywhere else. Too much risk to their large number of private shareholders. In Springfield, they are only game in town and I'm assuming the profits are still coming in so there is no reason to test the ordinances there. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a bunch of lawyers trying to fight the new state law requiring a surcharge on every one who visits. A black mark on their record during that fight would not be good. So, your best bet is always the independent smaller clubs. Larry Flynt Hustler Club in St. Louis is owned by the same people. And and for those same reasons. They are fairly tame there as compared to the other smaller clubs within in a stone's throw. Of course the new law will not affect the Springfield club because they do not serve alcohol, but in East St. Louis they do.

Has anyone been to the newly reopened Showgirls place just off the Carlinville exit? In the past, they were open Tues. Saturday starting at 8PM. I've seen new signs indicating they are open. I've had some interesting times there before they closed a couple of years ago.

Agreed, Deja Vu in Springfield IL is not even in the same league as the strip joints just over an hours drive south in the metro St Louis area. No extras, overpriced everything, and the talent has really slipped in recent years. The last time I was there was about 2 months ago and it was an absolute waste of time.

I was a regular there in the early 90s. The dances were still cheap, and the girls alot more friendlier. Never got anything more than really worked up by the time I walked out of there. The closest thing you could get to any action was when they had the old two way mirror booths as you first walked in to your right.

I went in there the other day. I didn't even recognize the place. Didn't even bother paying to get in. Did a quick lap around the video store and walked out.

Flaming is right. Nothing beats "the east side."

Was in town for business, and decided to check out deja vu in the early afternoon. Got there, and payed $15 for VIP access, regular was $11. There were 5 dancers working, and about 3 other customers, a bad dj, and an annoying MC. Just as I got there, they had the girls do a teaser dance for the customers, and I had a nice brunette come over and visit. After that was done, they pulled one of the customers on stage, and all the dancers spanked and teased him. Had a nice looking waitress that stopped to check in often. Would have liked to have seen more of her.

As for the girls, there was the 8 that danced for me, a 7 AA (marie) , a 6 brunette, a 5 blonde. 4 blonde, and a 1 blonde (beckha). I was hoping for the 8 to come over, but ended up with marie keeping me company, and paid for a 15 minute dance, just to see what I could get. Had me strip my shirt, teased me through my pants, but that was it. Was obvious she was watching the eyes in the ceiling. Nothing going to happen in those rooms.

Got done, and went back to watch the stage, and beckha tried to get me twice, but I wanted no part of that (floppy, overweight, and not attractive in the least). She acted ticked off that I didn't want her company. Tried to get the good looking 8 to notice me, but she was just laying out across some chairs. I left shortly thereafter.

You're better off to head to the metro east. Much more interesting.
