Why I am asking

That could give you a false impression. Even though a state may have laws and penalties, they may not really pursue them. And, probably more likely, it could vary by municipality. Some jurisdictions are not trying to bust Johns or workers as long as it is not out in the open etc. We all know certain towns where any AMP is harassed, until they close, or has to constantly deal with the cops coming in, or after multiple attempts the cops finally have a bust. While other places within the same state never have any issues etc.
I am asking to get some practical use cases out of it. I've heard that some people get slaps on the wrist and can go on with their lives where other people don't and end up with mugshots online and it becoming real problematic. I want to know what it entails. I know the state goes down to the county, city, municipality and all that, but I figured maybe somebody here would have practical use cases. If there are places in the country that are more lenient, maybe its a better bet to go there at least periodically. God knows chicago sucks for this type of thing anyways. High cost, terrible selection, always cracking down on it. Jeez. Maybe its time to go to canada once every month or two.

On one of AandE television shows, they
They interviewed a convicted murderer and I will never forget him saying the internet is the greatest invention for people like him as web sites such as Craigslist, tindr, grindr, Seeking Arrangements bring your victims right to you instead of having to go out and chase them down like Ted Bundy had to.

I have been curious. I figured this may be the right place to post this.
I asked this question in texas. Because its a red state I figured the consequences would be minimal.
Thats actually not the case.
Also, what states have the lowest penalties for this?

This is just crazy. Below are my remarks posted elsewhere on this site, and I thought it would be pertinent to share it here as well.
We are a culture of low information voters. Thus the political incentive structure rewards politicians for the appearance of doing good and not actually doing good. A prostitution sting via internet ads is low cost gets the headlines. Low hanging fruit. The cost of infiltrating a legit human trafficking ring is extremely high however and could quite likely never yield a headline.

Lisle
There is no way that apartment was vacant. And with this being Lisle (DuPage County) and so close to Naperville, I'm sure they will catch these guys before the weekend.

They describe an umpire being caught in a sting, as being caught in a "human trafficking sting" operation. Screw them! This poor SOB got caught, he's being publicly shamed for something a lot of people do (maybe even most) and they have the indecency to claim he's part of a trafficking sting? Who's the one who was supposedly trafficked? Just a load of crap.

Yep. This is another example that shows how the system was not built for the common citizens. Most of us live in a dream-like existence. We are the freest people, living in the freest nation, with a system built by the people and for the people. Nice dream, and I know that this is not completely untrue. But the fact of the matter is that in some aspects of our social lives, we are not beacon of social advancement. Yes, here in US we may have achieved some of the highest levels possible, such the freedom of speach or property rights protection, and others.
But in some aspects of our human social lives, we (some of us anyways) are just as backwards, if not more so than other nations. The issue of "Cash For Sex" is one of those that our collective intelligence just embarrassingly fails. In my humble (possibly stupid) opinion, I notice that our culture inherits, some fundamental flaws that keep creeping in, in almost every aspect of life, so as to slow down or completely impeding any king of progress. It is almost like a bug in a software application. You can mitigate it, sometimes win battles, and other times lose. But the more advanced societies have resolved a lot these issues and are better for them. What happens is, I think, the people most interested in imposing (maybe too strongly, shell I say, influencing) their way of life on to others, are those most interested in government and the system of laws. It is not a secret that these people also tend to be the ones who have accumulated more of the resources around them. So they run the freaking show. If you throw in that mix, the superstitious nuts, now you can have a really messed up situation..

Instead of conducting stings in person at motels, they have now moved online because it is cheaper to conduct and requires substantially less resources and personnel. And still brings in the same revenue. The only question is if it's constitutional. It certainly seems like entrapment.

Just checked in on yahoo mail on my laptop which goes to the main yahoo page first and saw the pic. Did not click, however I was tempted. Give it a rest! These guys are on the road all season so what does one expect? And of course everything is human trafficking these days. LEO is saving these girl's worlds. Yes fellas I bet even the pro I knew in river north who was taking down on average 20 k a month (guessing on my part, however within reason when she wore 2 k jimmy choo boots and lived in high end boul mich stores when she wasn't spreading her legs! Yea kid trafficking and any under age imo these people should be broiled, tared and feathered then disposed of, however what this ump did I am sure was totally harmless. A business transaction. And as far as getting caught and moving on let's not us forget the old slick one "I did not have sex with that woman". Course he had his reasons. Just look at that partner!! Ugh. All imo of course and my thoughts, ideas and concerns do not reflect the other forum members nor site owners views and are purely and simply my own! Stosh. Peace, love, happiness in mongering to all and to all a good night! Ho ho h**e!
