The reason they demand it is simple, because they get it. If not from you then from the next customer or the one after that.

Do you really think the girls at Ivy, Oki, Belmont or some of the other busy spa's really care if you return or not? They have more than enough customers and hear enough BS everyday so that your promise to return in a month or whenever means nothing to them.

It's the law of large numbers, throw enough shit against the wall and some of it will stick. Its the same way with tips in a good busy spa, demand more and some will pay it and if they don't then there are more in line who will.

Yep, you're right. But they can demand anything they want from me. They will get what I decide. It's simple. No, I don't think they care if I return, which was my point. They don't get a promise of my return either, but it's guaranteed I won't return if the demands come my way. There are a few women and places out there that DO seem to care about return business, and they get mine. As I said, if the quality and the price are no longer worthwhile, then I'll do other things. When it stops being enjoyable, I stop doing it.

I don't consider it a hobby. My experiences are strictly with massage parlors. It's a unique, stand alone experience. I enjoy any number of activities: movies, dining out with drinks, working out, etc. I'm not married and not currently involved with a woman, so I have absolutely nobody to answer to. I go because it can be, at its best, an hourlong pleasureable experience. However, my enjoyment of it has been on a steady decline for about a year, as the number of places that provide that hourlong pleasureable experience has rapidly dropped, and the looks and quality of the women has done the same. Therefore, so has my frequency of visiting. Unfortunately, the women want more money by DEMANDING it, rather than realizing that multiple return visits by me will EARN them a LOT more money. I'm not getting into buying gifts and candy and flowers and playing chauffeur on shopping trips to someone who could be back in Beijing, Seoul, or Los Angeles tomorrow. There is no shortage of things for me to do, and I'm glad to do them if the massage scene doesn't provide the enjoyment I want, at the prices I feel are worthwhile.
