After watching KHON2 tonight, Now the 3 cops are being charged with attempted murder and they will go to trial. The body cam evidence doesn't match what the cops say from the court files. They can face life imprisonment if convicted. If the cops fuked up than I'm all for justice but we will see how the case goes.

I feel like the decision to go for a trial is mostly political. The grand jury already decided not to indict, which means the prosecutor had to present the evidence to a judge directly, and then the judge makes the decision. When a grand jury indicts, this process is skipped, and this is how a great majority of the cases work. The reason why this is so unusual, is because a jury not indicting is thought to be a predictor of a jury delivering a not guilty verdict. However, since anti-police sentiment and topics are race are so prominent now, I feel like going for a trial here is more of a political move to basically show "Hey, I might run for governor later. Remember when I did that thing to address racism and hold police accountable?

Got to hit all cylinders for the *charges (1-murder; 2-attempted murder) to uphold: case law, probable cause, sustainability of charges (defense going get the alleged crime spree witnesses and other criminal charges (stolen vehicle, robbery, theft, armed robbery, etc.)) leading to the arrest; replica weapon going be used as probable cause and 'indisputable point of contrast,' if get proof the kid when draw the weapon or if found in or near the body / vehicle (in odda words, he when reach for the replica weapon and was sighted by the officers before they fired their weapons). The HPD officers in big trouble with serious charges; hope they get 'qualified immunity,' if any; if no more, no more.

No can touch his retirement pension but the legal and moral thing to do is to return the referenced severance money.
