Having a leader would be a good start. Hawaii hasn't had one in politics for generations now. The dominant party know how to manipulate the sad clueless locals.

Not sure how to break the cycle here as it had a chance with Lingle but the forces kept things pretty much status quo.

Hawaii will never solve big problems or move forward until the machine is taken down. Too many chose to join um than fight.

Hawaii residents continually complain about Hawaii's many unresolved problems and ineffective government, yet again and again, almost all incumbent Hawaii politicians running for office (either the same office or a different office) are reelected!

I got first hand experience with these "local losers", always complaining, but got no guts to do something about it. Its always, someone's else problem and if they even vote, its usually on the lines of the same ethnic group they belong to. During an illegal firing of 95% of my fellow co-workers during an takeover of the company by a Canadian network while I was deployed. I got a call from a friend who was also a Union shop steward, but did not understand how to file formal complaints to the Labor Department. So I filed on behalf of about 125 workers who still had a valid contract, but the corrupt Unio was in Vegas. The federal judge took this complaint and ordered a court date, which we won although not a single one came to complain or back me up. We got the severance pay, OT, vacation pay and 6 months COBRA medical / dental coverage. The only response I got was "When are we getting paid". That sums up this attitude, while the company did file for bankrupcy, I couldn't find a job because of being "a trouble maker" and ended up losing my townhouse during foreclosure for lack of employment. Two years being homeless, living in my car on Hickam base, while doing part time AF Reserves. Not worth sacrificing for lazy do nothing locals.

Surprisingly many Hawaii residents don't even know who their district representatives are, just imagine them now knowing other political officials, so not showing up to vote is not surprising. Can't vote when you don't even know who you're voting for.

I couldn't take care of her hapa better with gov milk money from 78 units. Instead I decided to go around and ruin leople's lives for her. Like a good college professor LOL

Do you know I can get $300 to $500 more in rent each unit I own in Ala Wai? All my 10 something units are in an uninhabitable condition. I never fix any thing for section 8 tenants but enjoy the extra income. Especially one of my tenants I get from catholic church does not even get to use restroom. Yea I never pay to fix his toilet plumbing. The tenant has to pack his feces and dump somewhere. I look like a philanthropist outside but I am actually abusing my tenant with his basic need. I don't care. They are afraid to report. I just have some low quality maintenance / managing team on drug and past criminal record in the office and completely control the manager because that kind of people easier for me to control and manipulate.

If other non section 8 tenant owner goes against my penny and dime ruling in the building, I just use my maintenance manager and harass and give anxiety attack. I have him accuse the innocent tenant for things they didn't do for example plumbing leaking or shut their water off make their toilet overflow or infestate their units from insects from section 8 tenant. I can easily make other owners and tenant die from depression and stress if I want to and get away with it LOL I always have things my way because I'm phucking rich. I can care less about my tenants' rights and all I want is more rental income from the government. I will find all the loopholes and abuse the system as much as I could.

I don't go to church. The donation for Churches, who knows where it is spent. All church leaders are corrupted, in my experience. They don't even know God's real personal name. And if they do, they only recently started to use it now. If you research yourselves and find out the real truth, you can. All. Churches are hypocritical. Do your own research. And all politicians are corrupted. I don't know if there are good politicians. And if there are, they only can do so much. Anyways, I once saw the Pastor of the First Baptist Honolulu come out of Tokyo Spa. Also, I saw Will Espresso coffee, ex- State Senator. I don't want to use his real last name. I was buying a smoothie at Jamba Juice at Ward and I saw Mr. Espresso Coffee come out of Tokyo Spa. I was like wow, State Senator got lots of time. Instead of trying to make our lives better, he bangs girls. Nothing wrong with banging girls, but don't believe in what pastors and politicians say. I don't vote. Why vote? Life will get bad or more bad. No positives from voting. You either vote for someone incompetent or a corrupt one. Humans are imperfect. Power gets to a person. No matter who you are. Mr Green is not even board-certified. Quack Doctor. If a Doctor was competent, why go to politics? Right.

Well someone needs to "bless" those horny providers at the AMP's from some priest of his "Holiness". At least he's not some Vatican perverted pedophile preying on young boys and girls all in the name of "His Holiness". What a ruse, brain-washing its members, then taking their donations to empty his sac in some AMP's.

Sorry, but I haven't seen any recent info in the news about her current medical status (possibly because of medical privacy laws and policies).

Perhaps someone else on the forum might have some recent info, or that info may become public if the victim testifies at a trial.

According to the news report, the woman was "nude and bleeding profusely," "suffered severe injuries to her private areas," and was "rushed to the hospital in critical condition". There reportedly was "blood splattered all over the walls and on the carpet of the hallway," "a gruesome trail of blood to the suspect's condo," and he was found "sleeping nude in a blood-soaked bed" with "a substantial amount of blood on his hands and forearms". So maybe the prosecution will file a motion requesting the court to reconsider the bail issue? It will be interesting to see what (if any) defence his lawyer ultimately raises. Perhaps an insanity defence?
