They're going after the establishments that advertise as a business so they can charge them with operating an illegal business, a Class B felony. The most they'd get at this place is prostitution, a petty misdemeanor.

Yeah, sounds like HPD has a certain type of "training" to include their in the pants "night stick" in order to "maintain" discipline between the legs of massage parlor girls. TSA agents use gloves, but HPD needs to probe deeper for a more satisfying cavity search. On your knees baby, we are here to "serve" and "protect".

    Interesting Article in USA Today

Here's an interesting article from USA Today on why it's so hard to stop massage parlors and the human trafficking behind it. My take for Hawaii though is that it doesn't exist here, or is extremely rare. If these other better funded, more organized states can't build any case for them, then our inept Honolulu Prosecutors Office has no chance. LOL.

Its fine people, and more importantly, the tourists and part-time locals living in million dollar condos don't have to see the eyesore of massage parlors that they probably didn't see unless they actively sought them out to begin with.

But in reality, of course, they didn't get rid of prostitution. Just the easy, soft targets that wont cause them problems when they kick in the door.

I've never heard of the HPD going on the offensive against the pimps and we all know they're there in Waikiki. And I don't see the HPD or the prosecutor's office going after them because apparently, those pimps don't have any problems packing heat and using it.

So thanks, HPD. I know you're reading this. What I want to know is, what are you getting out of giving the very real parasitic human traffickers that are pimps free rein?
    D Boy,

Sounds like you're pissed off, now how in the world would you raid the place when no ones home.

It's like robbing a bank with no money.

The funny thing about these AMP raids

This is all so typical of Hawaii. Someone figures out how to make a buck that isn't about buying up huge tracts of land (big agriculture, tourism or putting up overpriced condos) and the powers that be shut them down, even when the police claim can't handle property crimes.

Did she really say that our city's police force is not on par? Yet, our City has enough officers to send to Mauna Kea to reinforce Hawaii PD. Where the fuck's the logic in that? I wonder if the same person ghost-writing & feeding Ige misinformation is also doing so for Chief Ballard.
