Court can send appealing order to personal address in the future.

Search warrant is not "to arrest" it is to mess personal space to get furthet evidence and search "with legal allowance".

And search warrant can be issued by "quite long time search and probable cause" NOT BY one angry customer's anonymous 911 talking one time only.

This legislature act actually contridicts itself by saying the days of Chinese New Years day is not related to culture, but it actually is. If you're lucky, they will just take your ID and check to see if you have any outstanding arrest warrants. Then let you go if there are none. Always carry your ID when visiting the AMPs.

I agree on that, happened to me. Gave them my I'd after 10 minutes or so they let me go.

Agree, them raid beenhappen forever in AMP and bars, looking for minors and duress, which is a common around the world, Hawaii is no different.

Usually a complaint is the trigger fo action.

The thing is there was nothing reported by the local news the day Happiness and Rejuve were raided or, so far as I can tell, since.

Contacted a friend who works in the news and they didn't know anything about it. As others have noted, massage parlors are very visible, soft targets (not much chance of violence or guns on site) so it would be easy for the cops to tip the media off of busts for the evening news, but HPD didn't.

So it wasn't for PR or "optics". Also there's been chatter that no one was arrested.

The raids were also very visible with cops standing around and supposedly Specialized Services (SWAT) was on the scene. So if it was a shakedown for a payoff, that's a lot of potential witnesses and a lot of visibility. Even if you're a cop doing something shady, I'd still have to believe you'd want few to no witnesses that you were there.

Dunno. This feels different. Like a show of force or to show the cops has eyes on those places.

With everything going on with busts / raids / I'd checks, beware of your speeding. Chief Ballard wants a zero tolerance on speeding because of the big accident on Ala Moana. I'm sure you see more cops gunning during the day, and at night. There are even Solo bikes out a night. Drive safe! If you have a laser jammer, you know the drill to shut it off when you get pinged.

I have zero evidence to back this up, but it seems like if any massage parlor were to have undocumented providers, it would be places like Vanilla and Sunflower or Century Center in general, but you don't hear of them getting hit as often (assuming the raids are nothing more than ID checks, and I guess Mayflower would be a notable exception). Another thing. Why don't the gambling houses get raided instead of the AMPs. Is it because the Prosecutor's office is crooked, or gun shy after Kaneshiro's fuck up with the game rooms? Or perhaps someone profited when Tracy Arakawa et al. , had their machines confiscated, and they are still in operation? Just food for thought.

As a matter of fact, just yesterday (Feb 13), a gambling house did get raided around 6PM. It's located in the same building as Pearl City Relaxation. No doubt they will be back up and running in no time. LOL.
