They are using the words Human Trafficking to give themselves a social victory by making them look like they are the good guys for society. I believe that if human trafficking was actually the case here then all of these locations would be shut down permamently. They hit all of these places in search of specific people, not to shut down the locations. Some are shut down I believe because that is where they found people that were arrested, LuLu at Simply, Linda at MS, June? At HR thase locations I belive are still shut down. Angels as well is still closed as I drove by today but Blue Moon and Bayside both had open signs lit today and I don't believe anyone was actually arrested at those 2 locations. I think their focus was on RICO and money laundering but they mention human trafficking to make themselves look good in the public eye. Just my opinion.

A few actual incidents of human trafficking have occurred in this business in the dark corners of places like New York. Very, very rare and isolated and not at all typical of the business. Human trafficking activists and law enforcement capitalize on this to smear the entire business as built on human trafficking. There's human trafficking in agriculture, too, but does that mean we should expect to find field hands and overseers on every farm in America?

I don't know about the activists, but I think law enforcement is probably well aware of this and do not care. It serves their interests to push this narrative, even though they're not bothering to charge anyone with human trafficking anymore because they know it's a waste of time. They still talk to the media about it though because the media eats it up. I'm sure it sells a lot of ads.

The danger of this is that it harms actual victims of human trafficking, because the public will soon realize the fraud and become apathetic about it just as they have about prostitution. Sheriff Chronister is the boy who cried wolf.

Since the sheriff's minions read this forum, I thought I'd repost this here (from Suitcase City Shanking) so they don't miss it. It won't do any good at all, but it'll make me happy. Hopefully A2 won't mind the repost (with minor edits).

I don't own a spa, but I'm an insider in the business and know it intimately. (I've never admitted this before and don't much like saying so, but now is the time.).

The masseuses are not slaves, they are not stuck there, absolutely none of that is true. They live in the spas because they are itinerant workers. They move around from spa to spa, even state to state, looking for the biggest buck for their bang. Why would you rent an apartment in Tampa if you're going to be in Miami in three months?

Everyone thinks the owners drive this business. No. The workers drive this business. They expect the owners to provide in-spa accommodation at a low cost. If the owners don't provide this, the workers won't even consider it. If the spa is too slow, many workers just leave. We've had girls stay for one day. Workers are hard to find right now. We begged the latest one to stay but she wouldn't. Slave, my ass.

The owners make no money directly from the girls' tips. The owners make their money from the door and charging a small daily fee for accommodations. The owners would prefer that the girls only give massages as long as traffic at the door is still high, but they know that "extras" are what bring the men through the door and make the girls happy (because of the tips).

Far from being coerced sex slaves, most of these women make excellent money. Their usual plan is to come to America, make a pile of cash, put their kids through American college, and then go home and retire. About half of the middle-aged ones I know are paying for the college education of at least one kid. Tragically, I know some who have been busted and as a result their kid had to withdraw from school. Fuck vice cops. They are scum.

These women aren't drug addicts like most American sex workers. They make great sacrifices to improve the lot of their children and families, usually in the hope that their daughters won't have to follow them into this business and will lead a better life.

The cops and the "human trafficking" people are either ignorant or liars. At this point, they must realize that what I've said above is true. Even a half-assed examination of the facts and a little common sense make it obvious. (I put "human trafficking" in quotes because only a tiny percentage of what they do involves actualy rescuing people from human trafficking. When they do so, bravo! They deserve our praise. But "human trafficking" is really just the new term for "prostitution", designed to get the public more interested in combatting it. After a while, the public will realize the fraud. By then, great damage will have been done in the actual fight against human trafficking, rather than against adult, consensual sex workers.).
