I bought my most recent burner from Wally World. Nice Tracfone Motorola smart phone. Was on sale for 39 bucks. Paid cash.

I buy my refills there every 90 days. Pay cash, and activate on the store Wi-Fi.

There is no paper trail back to me. Keep in mind that if you were to commit some serious criminal activity, there would ultimately be a way that LE could find out who I was. But the only "criminal " activity is a low-level misdemeanor, nobody would ever bother to try to track me. And it is actually rare that I use the burner for breaking prostitution laws, because I mostly use it for regulars, and I am not breaking any laws when I see them.

Prostitution is a misdemeanor. The cops aren't going to bother with this kind of tracking for such a low-level crime, especially since it's an expensive, time-consuming pain in the ass. I've never heard of a single person who was busted for misdemeanor prostitution because the cops "tracked" their phone. (I'm sure some intrepid Google master can find one or two, but they'll just be the exceptions that prove the rule.).

If you're an extremely paranoid person who think the cops will waste their time tracking you for a low-level crime, then it doesn't hurt anything to get a burner. But the main reason to get a burner isn't the cops. It's the wife.

Some time ago I was texting an add. After a couple of text the girl on the other end came right out and asked "So you want a blowjob and sex".
